Just got a quote for track day insurance. £95 with £900 excess. Does this sound good ?

That sounds better than most Jane...

but.. (there's always one) I have decided that I'm not being ultra competitive on the day and have no plans for any touring car style driving, so I believe the chances of me doing enough damage to my car in one go around the circuit is not enough to justify the amount of the excess, and the premium too. I know others feel the same way. And I don't want any comments like "what about Wales?" with regards to my statement about "doing enough damage to my car in one go"... ok?

When is the money going to be asked for, its getting fairly close & with a few people reading as possibles in the above list we may need a few more people to make up numbers which will only become aparent when readies are asked for, it would be better to invite people than have a free for all at the end to get the numbers

I am told the link should be yesterday, so I would hope Monday/Tuesday of next week...then a big push to get everything else ready in time

When the (Easytrack?) Link goes up, will it be closed to "outside" bookings to stop non-Briskodians from muscling in?

Obviously i do not include invited friends in the non-Briskodian category

Only way around this I reckon is to give Easytrack the list to tick everyone off of, and anyone extra will have to info Des who'll tell easytrack... I think this is the best solution IMO.

Question

What stops people registering & then booking, just a thought.

Is there any way Sleazytrack can check bookings with the organisers before they accept them or put a rider on that all entries have to be approved by Briskoda & you reserve the right to remove anyone who has applied. It would be a shame if some Briskodians dont make it & we end up with a lot of other makes. If they are that keen on going they could always buy a Skoda

Maybe sticking my neck out here, but it is a day for members (and some friends of members), not for Skoda drivers per se.
