Wow again. You must have deleted the first as I deleted the second! Is that what you call a double pre-emptive delete? Want to try again? :o

Ah but can you restore yours? Are you my mind?

I hear voices just behind my eyes and face...

I can't remember what I wrote... :(

Ah but can you restore yours?
Noooooo.... :(
Are you in my mind?
Am I?

How about you delete 103, 105 and 106 - and I will delete 104 and 107. Then we can both forget this ever happened and move on with our lives. Or maybe I will need to delete them all - plus 108. Your move next, Mr Lucky.

Hello Lucky - still living up to your name? ;)

Just about Pan. How is Nutty?

Hope you still have her...

Still got the car - marvellous fun especially when showing Beemers or S3's the way lol

153 mph showing on the road angel (GPS), 160 on the clock, 5800 rpm. First and last time I go that fast....bends appeared where there were none b4 :D

bends appeared where there were none b4 :D

as mentioned to me by ****, when travelling at 270kmh those little bends you normally think nothing of suddenly become BIG corners you need to slow down for.

At 6200 rpm my speedo is on 150mph.

  • 3 months later...

Had a spat with a 106 rallye (my first official road rage in 10 years!) Lost the chav knob at about 110 was heading to the limiter when the tomtom3 was giving it 130. no idea wht the clock said the private road was damp and curving around to the right, on a bridge, with a cross wind.

twas an interesting moment. . .

I was doing over 80mph the other day down the M1....when I suddenly thought OH Bugger...Plod? No, I'd only gone and left the car at home.......Honestly the things you forget :D;)

Seriously I won't incriminate myself here, needless to say the black beast can officially do well over twice the legal limit and then some.

The 2 best stetches of road for canning the living nuts off your pride and joy are: The M45 which runs from M1 junc 17 to Coventry (best leave it until after midnight) I had my old Lotus Excel up there at 158mph (which if you ever try in a plastic car with a very flexible chassis and 200 bhp lump - I would suggest incontinence pants :pants:  :D )

Or I am told the current fav is the new M6 toll road. Try the bit as you come out of the traps (booth) going away from cannock to the M42. I had fun happily razzing an S3 who was most miffed by said trouncing.

After 2 miles I slowed down to the regulation(ish) limit. I believe all the scooby boys have races on there as it is a private road essentially. Never seen any plod on there anyhow....

Prefer the M45 though..more bends!! :rubchin:

It's maintained by a private company - it's not a private road, and plod do like to pop up on it from time to time!

Rob.

I stand corrected Rob...I think a lot of people think it is, as I heard the other day that certain let us say" Performance vehicle dealers" recommend their prospective clients to take their possible new car for a bit of a try out down it.....hmmm

The M69 is a wonderful motorway for having nothing on it ........... :D

My Rover 100 only has a poxy 1.1 petrol engine in it. Won't do more than about 100mph on the clock, which is probably 90 at the most...

Automatic speed limiter by going up hill, or dropping below 75 in 5th when not on the flat ;)

I test drove the Furby vRS which is why I've ordered cruise, >85mph is dangerous for your license anyway in reality, and generally not a good plan ;)

Will have to go to Germany for work sometime no doubt so kinda hoping I've been able to run in the Furby by that time so I can try it out at full 'steam' :D

I seem to remember travelling along a stretch of a very famous motorway at a progressive speed, to see an Audi driver in my rear view mirror trying to coppulate with my rear end.

"I'll show him" I thought as I floored it. I watched the speedo increase to what seemed like 149MPH (although these instruments are very innaccurate at these speeds) and glanced back with a certain degree of satisfaction, only to see that the Audi driver was infact at the point of no return!

Hmmm. wait a minute! flared wheel arches, descreet badging on the front grille, tinted windows, best pull over.

He went past me like I was standing still, on a gradient. It was then that I saw the fat twin pipes protruding from the rear and the letters 'RS4' bolted to the back.......

He did give me a  as he passed though...

indeed they do, after complaits of cars speeding to much that section is very much patrolled....................funny enough I do believe that is where I got caught for speeding :D beware silver BMW's

125 out of my standard 110TDI. Will check what it is with the tuning box and filter next time im on that private road ;)

JD

130-135mphish uphill then onto the flat to 140mph

Standard Furby vRS using Ultimate Diesel

(probably gotta gain of about 5mph using it)

also must add 3 passengers (to fat Girlees in the back)

oooh and....

110mph Austin Allegro  down hill a few years back on M5 towards Weston Super Mare

Had my Octy up to an indicated 145 before I began to run out of road!

That was on my way home from work a few weeks ago on this genuine private road :D
