Take it you own a Tavia vRS then ?

135-140 ish... in a standard fabia RS. (dont condone this sort of behavior.. i usually never go over 85)

Yep, sorry - forgot to add that.

Limiter in 5th, so just over 170 on the GPS

Public road as well :D (autobahn)

Far too easy, needed a longer top gear :(

BTW how accurate is TOMTOM speed reading, by the time I get to 70 on the speedo in the car the GPS readout is saying 65 ish ?

Sounds about right to me.

I know mine was maxed as it was banging on the limiter in top. Speedo only went to 160, so had to work it out on the gearing and the gps.

125 in chipped PD100 - unfortunately stopped in mid-attempt by turbo popping out of action, and associated rapid decelleration, despite my foot still being planted down. :(

My fabia 16V1400 101 HP reached 200 km @ 6000 rpm , as I read at the speedmeter. However, this is not the real speed because the meter is not quite reliable.

rev limit in octy vrs in top on stdish tyres is 171.

so that would be about it.

I had about 145ish, it was on this little private road, that runs from the midlands to the south coast, I had to do this, to catch up with the lexus that was trespassing on this private road!:321:

How funny I should see this thread at a time when I have literally just got back from putting my foot down in the vRS. Well I only managed 120 mph before I got held up behind a slower car on two private roads I visit ;) It was still pulling quite well too.... :D

Mine was still pulling well'ish - well, (ish) until my little turbo problem. I will be severely annoyed if the new Fabia does it as well, but at least VAG-com should be on hand to see if leaves a fault... It did on the last car "overboost" I think it was called.

Octy 4x4, just nudged 150 on the clock & the red on the rev counter at the same time. I estimate this to be 142 Actual based on trip being 5% over therefore assume speedo is the same.

165 (which is seriously fast!).

My drive way wasn't long enough to get any more out of it... I feel a trip to Germany coming on....... :D

got to 130 while over taking a bike on the track but had to slow down cause my exit was coming up faster than i thought !

121 on GPS in my Octavia...which is interesting, as the car is only supposed to go to 118.

Rob.

Not found out yet (135 indicated is max I'd tried so far), so roll on 24th April and I'll come back to you all!

Lee

Indicated 130 in my old 16v.

So far in the vRS I've managed 130 too, whilst it was in run-in mode playing with a TT!

130mph When I first got it :D (wasn't used to the power) Has loads more left in it though. Funniest thing was spanking an A4 convertible whilst starting off that run

151mph on the clocks.

130 on the speedo and it a 1.6 which as Rob says is only supposed to do 118? (And my cars an estate so better aerodynamics :D )

Indicated 115 trying to keep up with a Scooby convoy on my private road to and from the meet, which I think surprised some of the UK turbos ;) The computer was also indicating 45mpg too which made me laugh!

Chris

150 on the clock on a nice quite day - glad the "groundskeeper" did not see!
