PS: Forza and GT4 cannot prepare you for the real thing. All it can really tell you is whether a left and right is coming - beyond that - totally different ball game. (coming from someone who learned the track very well on GT4 )

Another thing to consider is your car insurance. Please read the SMALL print and make sure that the ring is not excluded from your policy either by name, or by use of the term "De-restricted toll road". If your policy mentions either of these as an exclusion, then whilst you are on track your policy will be void and it could become very expensive if you crash or are crashed into.

I've booked up to go out on the 3rd May, early doors, to be there for afternoon sesh Saturday, all day sunday then leaving for ferry on the Monday morning 5th May. Staying at Sliders guesthouse in Adenau. SpeedFerries is just over £70 Dover route.

I guess i'll miss the exodus as I read it the plan is for the 10th and 11th?

OK - Looks like we have the accommodation pretty cheap. CP are doing a special deal over the 11/12 weekend in May - 8 man cabin for 4 nights (friday 9th to Monday 12th inclusive) for 759 euros. Now I make that about 90 euros per person for an 8 berth, which is a little over £60. For FOUR nights! Almost tempted to travel on the friday now and make a full long weekend out of it. Anyone else fancy doing a 3-day'er? Saturday can be spent walking around the track, and the small 1.5 hour saturday session could be spent on familiarisation laps?
