hehe, bill, I wonder....

You stormed by me onto the main straight and totally ignored the cone chicane - assume that was a faster line? ;)

these things are so subjective... i have and ian has too... scalped a GT3 at anglesey but having driven my c2 on track on sat would have to sat the GT3 driver must have been scared/ inept cos i would have murdered anything round brunters in a manual stiffer and slightly more powerful 911.....

Whats a C2?

Whats a C2?

Either a Citroen thing or a Carrera 2...you decide :P

Carrera 2 (as in RWD) mines auto and a cab (obviously) hence is the slowest 911 (apart from a c4 (as in 4wd)cab) you can buy.....

LOL.. not so much as ignored as no brakes!!!! Boiled fluid = pedal to the floor... Made it 'interesting'. Could'nt rely on them after 5 laps. New fluid being sourced for next time. I need my brakes.

That could explain the buttons on the wheel? Must have been one of those C2 vtr things... thought it handled well! ;)

Ahhh... got it now.

So you reakon it would have been faster than everything on Saturday then?

;)

Bill, if you have deeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets and don't mind changing every 5-10k miles, Castrol SRF, about

yes i think a GT3 would have been faster than anything in the right hands...

380hp caged stiff low grippy tyres rwd sorted chassis 0-60 in 4 top speed 190+ and only 1300kg yup i reckon it would have it covered....

Bill, no worries, just assumed you found a better line than the rest of us!

Reckon the Noble would have given it a jolly good run though :D

agree...

but know which would run for all year and not break...

Bill, you probably had more bhp per tonne than I had at 4200rpm - thats when my Turbo kicks in. With a cut off of 6800 rpm I get about 2500 revs of boost so driving the car is - er - claculated to say the least. Otherwise you are simply driving a straight six.

Also - stop drinking the brake fluids m8, its not good for you and makes your breath honk.

As for the video of the Porsche exiting stage right - er - no we dont have that on video.

Does anyone have my 360 on video ? - I kept it on the track :)

Sorry to anyone who had to slow down for that one.

I was coming out of the chicane labouring in 3rd (3000rpm or so), so the next time round I dropped it down to 2nd instead, kept it in the magic 4200rpm+ range and floored it (moving right, past the last cone). The car said "Ah, nice turbo power at last" and the engine was instantly in the boost range, the back spun and the poo trac did nothing to assist me and we went round . . .weeeeeeeee.

Found the stuff on the brake fluid recirc things last night but forgot to mail you the link, I'll dig it out tonight.

Some kind of cooling circuit for brake fluid, Jon?

Indeed Nick. :D

Oh and I think I have in-car footage of a certain 911 deciding to pirouette in front of me. Step forward Mr Cooke :D

re Liverpool Victoria and did the insurance cover make any difference to driving?

No, not a bit - I always drive as fast as I possibly can BUT trying to leave a couple of % for that memorable moment that might crop up.

As Sting used to sing, "I can't, I can't, I can't stand losing, I can't, I can't, I can't stand losing" etc etc

Ahhh, righty-ho :D

shouldn't some of us be er, working right now??

I'll start if you will .... :P

shouldn't some of us be er, working right now??

I called in sick...Sunstroke hah !!

indeed, thanks Jon, can't wait to see that!!

For the record, Paul lost it and never recovered. I lost it, caught it, and over corrected and spun the opp way, I think - my memory kinda blanked out and I think my passenger had his eyes closed!

May as well leave the working until tomorrow now chaps.

Mind you I have to go home and dig up my patio.
