Briskoda Booze Cruise

Featured Replies

I am seeing who would be interested in a booze cruise meet. All meet up at the Eurotunnel terminal in folkstone, Jump on the train and then spend the day in North France.

It will be either Sat 7th August or Sun 8th August although very few French shops are open on a Sunday (including Citi-europe)

If there is any interest in buying cheap fags, we could go over the border into Belgium and anyone who wants to can buy cigarettes at

Count me in. Mrs KLB is just finishing off the last of the cheap ciggies we bought on the last booze cruise, and I could do with a few crates of decent wine.

Add another car :)

3) LFC958 ( only 10 mins from train )

Time to make a call to HM C&E..

:sofahide:

By a strange co-incedence that's also a full public weekend at the Ring IIRC....300 miles or so from Calais..

Fags are the same price wherever you buy them these days. The ciggie companies took advantage of the Euro to standardise the packaging (which includes the price). Some places got cheaper, others got dearer.

The Fag shops in Aidenkirke work like the Booze shops in Calais and do sell their fags

This could possibly re-ignite the vRS vs 4x4 vs Vrs vs combi arguments....... how many crates of stella :D

/me starts stopwatch to see how long it takes mellowyella to get here after mentioning the S word ;)

I'm going to be busy for most of August, but I'd advise you to avoid Cite Europe (you won't be able to park on a Saturday).

my favourite wine warehouse: http://www.franglais-wine.com/ -nice friendly service, English spoken, and they have a good tasting room.

One of my favourite restaurants: http://www.blancnez-restaurant.com/ -good prices, nice folks, excellent food -and Sangatte is back to being a nice village, since the refugee centre closed.

Why not go by ferry..then it would be a Booze Cruise.

May be interested here as well, ok not may be ...am. But not sure on August timings at the mo.

Or try www.speedferries.com Anyone trying to break the ferry cartel is good in my book

My dad booked online a week ago to go next Monday, returning in two weeks, 80 quid. (Actually I booked for him. He's not too good on this interweb thing...)

Having worked on the tunnel, i suggest you go by ferry too

Shall we?

I can still make this (if you dont mind a slow smoky SEAT in the convoy ;) ) and SWMBO cannot come because she doesnt have a visa :D .

Are we planning to stay overnight somewhere?

That rather depends on if anyone feels like being a little more adventurous and grabbing the booze on the way back ;)

Read the thread mon ami :P
