Dog hair & Cowboys - new boot trims
Believe it or not When I got the car The backs of the seats where fine The reason the hair is showing Is because he’s used the tool And it’s bringing up the hair and paint It’s chewed through 3 of his tools It’s that thick with paint and dog hair 🙃

The last pic you can get pretty straightforward pet hair removal tools to get rid of. They’re basically very soft rubber that as you rub back and forth they collect the hair. It’s not easy as the stuff weaves itself into the carpet loops but it gets there eventually.

Rear DRLs?
You can program the car to have 'Scandinavian DRL' on. This will turn your front DRL, rear side and number plate lights on when the ignition is turned on. I did this to one of my cars using OBDEleven. HTH. Thanks. AG Falco

Crank but no start 2.0TDi
Issue has finally been resolved, Cylinder 3 injector had failed and was leaking fuel back to the pump. Now I probably need to replace the other 3 at a cost of nearly €300 an injector for the part alone.

Rear DRLs?
For safety’s sake, i would like to add rear DRLs - i think they should be standard, like on my previous car, a Volvo. There are suitable vertical surfaces on the rear bumper below the reflector to fit separate lamps, but i’m wondering about how best to do the wiring. Does anyone know if there’s an ignition controlled circuit in or near the boot to tap into? If there isn’t, where would be the best place? Thanks in advance

Christ on bike! I've heard it all now! That's the height of cowboyism... I would be naming and shaming the sellers.

Skoda Karoq Build Label Location(s)
Hi. I'm looking at Karoqs around 3 years old and interested in seeing the PR codes before I choose. I'm pretty certain that a car around that age wil not have a service book with the build sticker attached, is there still a sticker under the boot floor cover? If so, could someone give me an idea where to look. I had a quick look in a car a few weeks ago and couldn't see one but didn't have much chance to search (it was pouring down). I'm looking for a car without SFD2 which I understand was introduced in builds late March 24 onwards. Cheers Andy

2nd year service coming up, what should I look out for? Not driven it much
I buy oil and filters then take my car to a nearby garage (5 minute stroll) to simply change the oil and reset the service light. Brake fluid, pads and discs when the time comes. Changing air and pollen filters takes 5 minutes. And online filters cost peanuts compared with a dealer. All products are the Real Deal. Saves a fortune.

What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
I’ll check the manuals see if there’s a list Edit. No list in the manual. It does go through each individual bulb and how to change it but it lists bulb type as part of that rather than one master list.

New headlight cannot adjust the dipped up enough
Help needed The led DRL on my right drivers side head light failed as the headlight sprung a leak at the seam between lense and plastic case next to the wing Bought new skoda headlight from skoda dealer and fitted it but the dipped beam is just far to low Odd but the nylon adjuster looked as though some tool had already been on it so I was suspicious The main beam was ok with a tweak to its adjuster which was in perfect order I have rotated the dipped adjuster until i feel resistance. ( anti clockwise was lifting beam seemed odd direction as main was clockwise to lift ?) but it dipped beam still pointing down onto road and far lower than than it should be

octavia mild hybrid generator belt sound
Hello, I’d like to bring up an old thread of mine again. Does anyone have any ideas regarding my issue? It seems that the authorized service center doesn't even know what to do or suggest—according to them, everything is fine. The sound in the link occurs almost every morning, or during the day after the car has been sitting for a while. Lately, it has also been happening after long drives. The sound appears when the car is rolling in 'D' (Drive) gear, or when starting to move in 'D' without pressing the accelerator pedal. As soon as the car comes to a stop, the sound disappears. They replaced the belt tensioner this week, but it didn't help. Also, besides this sound, there is some jerking when accelerating. Thanks for your thoughts. https://youtube.com/shorts/4iBDhxFsDdc?feature=shared
