Hello everyone, I was unable to find pictures of Scala on the Blade wheels when I was deciding what wheels to choose for winter. So I want to share my pics in case anyone is in the same situation as I was - I'm really happy we went for it, looks great :-)

I am unable to edit my previous post (???) so posting again, this time hopefully complete. I wanted to write about our 10k experience few months ago, but did not have any time to do it. We did additional 2k since when I jotted down my first thoughts on 10k with Scala, but the lists remain unchanged - here it is. PROS Emergency break assist. Saved us already twice. Second floor in boot. We keep our outdoor equipment there - in the summer, just pack the food and you are ready to go. Electric back door. Super cool feature, simplifies life. Would not buy another car without it. Light assist. LA is great - I used to have problems when driving during nights, the LED lights solved it. Cruise Control. Once you get used to it, you won't drive on the highway without it. 2 zone aircon. No more quarrels about the temperature. Car looks great. After half a year, I still like the car design. 1.0 TSI is enough of power. Was a bit afraid if 1.0 is not too weak, but no, it is more than sufficient. Easily folding back seats. CONS Beeping noise when engine on & driver door open. The back camera turns off when the gear is changed. Lane assist wheel sensor often beeps without a reason. Clumsy aircon handling. Click on menu button opens aircon menu, second click on the menu button does not close it. It is not possible to use keyboard while driving Did not find a way to get the navi into the virtual cockpit (Bolero) Hill assist does turn off at once. Could cause troubles if on low torque. The 2nd gear does not run well in low torque, one needs to get used to it. Wireless charging stops charging when phone too hot. Limited apps for android auto. In general, we are still liking our car a lot. Most of the CONs are 1st world problems or general moans that are not specific for Scala. If I could change something in the configuration, I would re-consider the automatic transmission as it - with combination with the cruise control - would simplify the driving by another grade. Apart of that, I'm really happy with what we got.

No probs at all Yeah, the sumps are stuck on with sealant. As you say, it should be fine as the sealant should fill any slight unevenness.

Bonjour à tous Satisfait globalement de ma skoda superb combi 190cv dsg6 de 11/2016 pour mon activité de taxi Mais malheureusement un problème de fiabilité des amortisseurs pilotés avant !! ce qui plombe l entretien car ca coute un MAX !! 1300€ (fourniture et pose) Loin de mes pensées en achetant cette voiture le " fleuron de la marque en finition Laurin& KLEMENT" une haut de gamme avec un sav à la hauteur de ces engagements . Acheté en concession Skoda St Maximin 60 en novembre 2016 entretenu et réparé par leurs soins jusqu'à a ce jour Apres 1 an de service et 60000 kms au compteur le 11/2017 les amortisseurs avant Hs ( perte de confort , claquement sur nid de poule , et fuite importante , prise en charge par Skoda france ( mais après plusieurs appels , constatation du chef d atelier et série de photos a l appui !!! Et un an après ca recommence !! mais la cela ce complique !! le 11/2018 à 149000kms , la garantie Skoda ne fonctionne pas , le regle skoda "pas de garantie sur une pièce changer en garantie !! trop fort ! après contestation le chef d atelier et skoda concède une prise en charge de 70% qui me parait correct , mais que de dure labeur de faire valoir ces droits et quand bien même ceux sont pas des idiots ils conçoivent bien qu' il y a un problème de fiabilité sur leur amortisseur piloté . Et de nouveau le 10/2020 a 27000kms ca recommence , le verdict tombe en revision les amortisseurs commencent a fuir !! HS de nouveau mais la le garage veut rien savoir , aucune prise en charge juste un devis à 1200€ !!! et depuis plusieurs relances par courirels a l atelier c est silence radio !! Même un courriel envoyé au responsable de la concession est rester lettre morte !! Une voiture acheté neuve , un entretien régulier pour un montant de 7500€ et voila le considération de Skoda pour son client Dans l attente j ai missionné ma protection juridique pour vérifier la fiabilité et la conformité de ces amortisseurs si onéreux et peu fiable Avez vous eu ce genre de déboire avec ces amortisseurs ( d autres collegues taxi ont eu ce problème ) ? Peut on changer ces amortisseurs par un autre modele que ceux d origine? pour une meilleur fiabilité ? car etant piloté cela doit compliqué l histoire ! J ai même imaginé me passer du dcc pour être tranquille car 1200€ tous les ans c est trop pour moi Dommage car j étais plutôt satisfait de la voiture , Merci de vos avis et solutions

Part number is stored in EEPROM, SW upgrade will NOT solve this problem. You can use label file for MIb2.5, rename it and then store in folder C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Labels\User see VCDS manual

Adaptive CC really is good isn't it, we had it on the wifes Tiguan. Was great when towing out caravan, made the journey really easy.

I have my mk 3 for just over 4 months now. Inside it is just a really nice place to be.

You will find the wheel well is a bit snug for the 650mm diameter of the 215/45 R18 tyres (when new), obviously 2-3mm of worn tread knocks 4-6mm off diameter. From memory there is literally only a few mm clear of the 640mm spare in the wheel well. The main problem with 215/45 R18 tyres is they are quite an expensive size, with limited choice in that size, and because it is an obscure size, don’t expect your local tyre shop to have any in stock. Hence spare may be on for few days whilst a matching replacement is sourced. (Even many big online tyre companies want 5 days delivery for these, which suggests could be coming from warehouse abroad)

I think I'm correct in saying that the auto versions only recently changed from belt style gearboxes to DSGs, so that new box won't be in production long. 'Which' marked the current Quashquai down for reliability, noting the batteries are a big problem - maybe they were Mols - but that hasn't stop the car selling well. The magazine recently looked at the 4wd 'conventional' plug-in hybrid version of the Peugeot 3008 and liked it - refined, comfortable and fast, though a good bit of the boot volume that's in ICE models, is then taken up by the batteries. It's available in combined ouputs of 225 or 300hp - the world's gone mad - 115hp is fast enough for me - expect some comeback from that. Whatever might be saved in particulate pollution from the engine could be counteracted by ditto coming from the tyres, as it screams away from the traffic lights. The battery only range of 35 miles didn't impress me and the car doesn't seem particularly economical on long runs (but it is mechanical 4WD). However on shorter distances it challenges diesels, which is to be expected. As it's somewhat heavier than the standard model, the handing & ultimate road holding is bit more ponderous, but the ride is better and 'grip' and braking very good.

I think all the 1.5s at that time suffered from the problems because it was fixed by software. I expect that later engines had the software upgrade from new and that some owners were happy to accept the problems. For the same reason, I expect that the 2020 1,5s will not have the same problem. I was just reading about the 2030 deadline too. Is it possible to achieve by 2030? I have read that Jaguar and Volvo have already declared that they will only build electric vehicles by 2030. 1. How many ordinary people can pay more than £30k for a car? 2. How many people can accept a car with range less than about 300 miles? 3. How are we all going to get plug-in points? 4. Where is the power for those points going to come from? 5. Where is all the lithium for the batteries going to come from? Whatever, either the oil runs out and we have to use renewables and change our behaviour or we find vast new reserves of oil and we all fry, or drown.

Hello. For the DRL LED "stripes" located inside of the headlight with bixenon, afs, it's a big problem because ,if you see in pictures, it's not a led stripes, it's a Osram modul with 3 Cree led's, it's very, very hard to find to buy, i don't find him, and for the change him, you need the open the headlight's, i talk about glass, and dismount almost all components inside him...for that,in case of led burning, not computer drl issue, it's recomandet to change the entire headlights...of course, if you are a good tehnician, can you repair him , if you have the Osram cree led modul...see the pictures....

+1 for the Bosch Aerotwins, numbers for Octavia hatch below; Drivers side - AP24U Passengers side - AP19U Rear - A403H I’d recommend getting these from Halfords if you have or know someone with a trade card (25% off). If not you’re looking at £52 all around with free delivery. Failing that they may offer a discount over the Black Friday period... that now seems to span a couple of weeks! Be aware though that Halfords don’t stock the A403H in store, it is only available online. I made this mistake when I picked up the H 403.

To a towbar fitter, the intended “light” use should not be relevant. The car is officially capable of towing a certain weight and the fitter must ensure that the bar is fully capable of doing that. (Much as tyres must match the capability of the car, not the “I never go above 50” that might be stated by the driver 😀)

From 1st November 2020 only EU Passport Holders allowed to buy property on Cyprus because of the Russian/Chinese investor buyers driving up the cost of new builds. Looked at some villa's which went from 680,000 to 2 million Euro's and they weren't good value. Went to Coral Bay on the local bus for the day only 5 Euro all day each (4 coaches used) and it is an area we would consider to retire.

Thanks, I had seen that one but I’ve decided to keep the Octy for at least another year. Various reasons really, mostly because it’s so hard to get another car with the spec mine has for decent money. Mine has loads of options on it and it’ll fit us for a wee while longer so may as well keep it until I can get away with something totally different. I thought about it but I can’t justify more than about £350 per month on a car, I just don’t want to pay more than that personally and mine is paid for now so I’ve decided to enjoy at least another year of not having a car payment every month instead.

Yeah I’d agree with that, I think my 280 sounds great when it is being floored and also has a nice burble when going up hills with a moderate bit of welly too (maybe it’s because I don’t have too many references for a nice exhaust note but I like this one...)

Update: I noticed the sensor wasn't at a right angle to the road, so I got out a measuring tool and adjusted it so each side of the sensor was the same distance away from the bumper in the hope it fixed it, and it did!

Got my full winters on, had them of for about 4 weeks now as tend to fit winters last week of Sept/first week of Oct. Tyres of choice. I use proper winters rather than all seasons as up in the Highlands and it can be pretty severe, not just snow but had temps down to minus high teens. Also they are just so much better in lower temps, bad/rainy weather etc, it’s not just about snow and ice. I’ve been using Conti winters on other cars for about 10 years now and found them excellent in all conditions, to the extent that Mrs DSL was driving on sheet ice with perfect control, I was struggling to walk on it. Plus on uncleared compacted snow (A9 over Drumochter before the ploughs got their butts into gear) they were great up to 60mph. My house is up a fairly well used side road, but not adopted so not gritted, use results in any snow getting compacted down into ice and when it melts it get very slick. A no go in summer tyres unless in a proper 4x4, a breeze with winters. OK, it’s another cost but the set of Ratikons I put the winters on cost only £250 and I’ve splashed out on a full sized spare and same tyre (similar for summer set) as the type of driving I do dictates carrying a spare. Another advantage of these tyres is they are non directional so spare gets fully used. Looking forward to a bit of snow this winter to see if I can replicate this pic in Skippy. As long as I can beat the plough.

I’m beginning to wish I’d never asked!! Ive had towbars fitted by main dealers before with no cooling upgrade so why do I need it now? I think Skoda scare people into opting for their over expensive towbars by saying you need an upgraded cooling system. If they’re fitted post factory dealers also rip you off. They get local suppliers to fit them and charge you top whack! I was merely looking for some recommendations as to type if towbars and fitter.!!!!
