  1. The obvious issue there is the cam timing setting.
  2. It's that too, but I got my information from the Wikipedia article in this case.
  3. None of you seem to have mentioned the options code sticker yet.
  4. Yes there are, but the tappets make direct contact with the cams. What most people refer as "tappets" are actually various forms of slack adjusters.
  5. You appear to be arguing that you must have seat belts for seats that are physically absent.
  6. In which case he doesn't know that the pistons, or even the piston rings, are shot. Change your garage.
  7. I'd agree @Carlston eventual diagnosis of sticking food or hand brake. Except that I think a sticking handbrake is more likely if both back brakes get warm at he same time.
  8. @reeky123 If the NSF seat (chair) is not fitted, then neither it nor the NSF seatbelt can be failures.
  9. Not sure I'd trust any of those figures, because I'm seeing the alternator overcharging enough to boil the battery and fry the electronics, and the radiator overcooling enough to kill the fuel consumption if those values are accurate.
  10. I don't suppose he's tried to prove it with a dry and wet compression test?
  11. Ok, one question. Who's wallet is connected to you believing it should run OK with the big turbo; his or mine?
  12. That crimp is well cooked, so can't have been helping, especially as vehicle temperatures rose.
  13. I can't see why a DPFectomy would affect the oil consumption.
  14. As the other 2 already said, you want 225/40/18, so you appear to have gone from "too small" (make not specified so I'll assume YingTong Ditchfinder or similar from the description "very slippy") to an also make unspecified "too large". If we're to actually help you beyond straight talking on size, we do need actual tyre make and model data.
  15. FFS; we already told you you're running a wrong map for a big turbo!
  16. It#s a waste of time, because it's all manufacturer self-certification.
  17. It only takes one to be blocked if you park on a slope. Also most people grossly overestimate how much liquid you need to cover an actual area "wet". Your "four pints" would cover about 40x20 sq ft IRL.
  18. Does anyone know of a case where a crashing car has hit the right hand side of the circuit between the Lesmos? I don't.
  19. Yes; it's called a "Weights and Measures offence".
  20. Who said "at idle"? I certainly didn't.
  21. Mibbae aye, mibbae nay. I'm not going to give you a definite answer beyond "STOP NOW" if the water temperature suddenly starts climbing.
  22. Can't happen, won't happen at the same time from a bigger turbo and a stock map; the car will drive like it has a boost leak. Or maybe it even does? Do you have an increase in black smoke?
  23. Well, I'd no electrical issues with my Citroen ZX.
