  1. OK; when you switch the ignition on (not start the engine, just switch on), does the battery light come on?
  2. Or, unlike what the previous commentators say, because a 215/45R16 is cheaper than a 205/45R16.

Agreed, and yes I'm another one who would set it "off" and leave it that way.

But it does. Yes, we know; that's why it's dangerous.
  5. GDPR only applies to identifiable personal data. It doesn't apply to a dashcam unless the driver has to enter their name and/or address into the camera before making a journey.
  6. You don't, unless the water pump is driven by the cam belt/chain, when locking the timing will be essential.
  7. There is an edit in your text (inline) highlighted by underscoring the edit.
  8. Edit inline, underscore. Otherwise agreed (and FWIW I've done this myself).
  9. Well, all versions of the AC use the external temperature as an input to gauge how much to heat or chill the ventilation air. If the ETG reads -20, the ventilation goes to full hot, and if it reads +40 the ventilation goes to full cold.
  10. And the external temperature gauge?
  11. Well, that's certainly how the Octavia 1 and 2 back seats worked, with the additional note that they were also 60/40 rather than 50/50 split.
  12. If you have to ask, you get a garage to do it for you.
  13. What sort of ventilation system does this car have?
  14. Edit inline, emphasised; makes quite a difference to the sentence IMO.
  15. As well discussed in these very fora, this is a failure in the variable volume water pump. It does not throw a fault code because it is a mechanical system.
  16. Back upthread you say you never put the ac on. You only get condensate when you do.
  17. Why would you? At most they're only there to reduce driveby noise during type approval.
  18. No. Use the air con, park the car and take careful note of where the melted condensate appears; it's usually in front of one of the front footwells.
  19. @Joller79DK And check the pollen filter; if they get a buildup of dust/pollen they frequently get and stay damp.
  20. That was my initial thought, not helped any by the feeling that you've measured the current from the battery positive terminal to its wire (based on what I can see in your picture).
  21. Edit inline, bold and underscore. Granted; they're reasonably well known and respected aftermarket brands though. Probably available from about half the independent parts factors and garages in Paisley.
  22. Smaller diameter steering wheel, wider and lower profile tyres...
  23. Hint; they're not a Skoda stealer (or indeed a franchised stealership for any other make). I was trying to get your issues fixed for less than a main stealer would rook you.
