Well, all versions of the AC use the external temperature as an input to gauge how much to heat or chill the ventilation air. If the ETG reads -20, the ventilation goes to full hot, and if it reads +40 the ventilation goes to full cold.

And the external temperature gauge?

Well, that's certainly how the Octavia 1 and 2 back seats worked, with the additional note that they were also 60/40 rather than 50/50 split.

If you have to ask, you get a garage to do it for you.

As well discussed in these very fora, this is a failure in the variable volume water pump. It does not throw a fault code because it is a mechanical system.

Back upthread you say you never put the ac on. You only get condensate when you do.

Why would you? At most they're only there to reduce driveby noise during type approval.

No. Use the air con, park the car and take careful note of where the melted condensate appears; it's usually in front of one of the front footwells.

@Joller79DK And check the pollen filter; if they get a buildup of dust/pollen they frequently get and stay damp.

That was my initial thought, not helped any by the feeling that you've measured the current from the battery positive terminal to its wire (based on what I can see in your picture).
