  1. NO!! A cut like you illustrate will have taken all the strength out of the tyre sidewall, and I doubt it is either legal or safe to use ever again.
  2. That I can tell you in my case, but I doubt it will be the same issue for you. During haemodialysis we occasionally attempt to remove too much water from a patient, and that will cause a BP crash (it has for me, about twice). The last time I called that it was happening, and the next thing I remember I was flat on my back, there was a sick bowl on my table, and 2 nurses were rolling back my dialysis saline to get my BP back up.
  3. It's a green meanie; do you need any more reasons?
  4. Been there, done that. Feels nasty, but at least you're in the right place to get a BP crash handled promptly.
  5. Tell the Snowbirds that you'll repair the road before P1.
  6. These show for seconds; If you start the engine then put your seatbelt on they should be out before you get second gear (or reverse out your parking space).
  7. @DutyPaid - I'll 3rd the "avoid Avons" with a similar story about cracking. Seatbelt I think any garage should be able to do; no idea about belt price though.
  8. I don't do Daily Excess guff. The point about working a/c doing other things besides "cooling air" is entirely true, even if it has appeared in the Excess (don't know or care).
  9. That's a fair and valid question.
  10. As long as they don't tell you that having an issue is "a million to one shot", because we all know those happen seven times out of ten!
  11. Wish I'd thought of that when my fistula was being superficialised!
  12. To a little wooden cross beneath the town, Where a broken hearted woman tends the grave of Mad Karoo, Whilst the little yellow God looks sadly down.
  13. That didn't come through from the earlier posts. Since it was the actual case, I agree the point.
  14. You want power. Power costs. How fast can you afford to go? @devonutopia can tell you all about making a 1.9D 300.
  15. Oil filter? It's fairly cheap, and a clogged filter could give these symptoms.
  16. It doesn't. It says "M1", which is a type approval number meaning that it's a car, with a limited production run.
  17. A local to you bodybuilder may be able to supply paint fully matched to your car.
  18. You'll be left with an old school heater and fan, but even then the functionality will be somewhat downgraded. My old Octy has an early Climatronic, and I normally leave it in full automatic set to 18C unless I want the demist or defrost mode.
  19. When answering, bear in mind that aircon does air heating and air drying as well as air cooling functions.
  20. And how many wheel braces?
  21. Probably a bad casting (manufacturing issue) or impact damage. Look for any signs of corrosion on the broken surfaces.
  22. I think that is correct under French law.
  23. 1) I don't think you're that far from AwesomeGTi (find then in Site Sponsors). 2) You've not actually said what the present fitment is.
