There is a work around to get a more recent map update as per the attached thread. The second to last post is mine, which if you expand show instructions for getting the map update. . You can see my screen shots showing the latest map date available and also my version number, which is later than yours. This is the thread to help you get the latest firmware version.

Others have the same complaint. Seems to be a standard but meaningless feature.

Being pedantic 😡, the early one's like mine did have them. I've never used it tho, as an SD card is far more convenient.

It's all part of the stop/start system. The a/c is also connected to it.

Exactly. As long as the temp is comfortable for you, leave it alone.

If it's working leave it alone. Mines never been topped up from new.

My car in cold weather always starts better than in warmer weather. In cold weather there is quite a long delay whilst the glow plugs do their job and then instant starting. In warmer weather most of the time the starter kicks in before the glow plugs have had time to work resulting in some lengthy cranking time.

No need for oil changes then, you're continually putting fresh oil in it. My tdi has has hardly used a drop of oil in 5000 miles.

Going by my own experience, start stop only works if the car has been in moving. If I were to start my car and just leave it in park then it will idle until switched off manually.

Am I correct in saying that you left the car idling and when you came back the engine had stopped?

But they're saying get the injector seals done? No one has has said this as far as I can see.

Seems you already have it in the best place. In an accident things can get thrown all over the place especially if the car rolls. I'd leave it in there.

Couldn't agree more. My Varta AGM is original. Car is regularly left standing for weeks at a time and and starts with no problem. Stop start starts working after about an hour into the journey.
