  1. That appears to be module 05 for keyless rather than module 5F which should be the headunit
  2. The seat probably needs the basic settings doing to learn the various end stops. I've done it with ODIS before but not tried with VCDS. The headunit probably needs an adaption channel or two changing, post an adaption map from 5F.
  3. Please re-read my last post, both questions have been answered The wiring loom between the door control module and mirror is attached to the mirror. If you buy a power fold mirror it'll already have the extra wires in the loom: The mirror adjustment switch/knob still uses four wires as it's just an extra internal resistor.
  4. Pretty sure parts ending in 393/392 are not suitable, you need 593/592. At least based on this thread: https://forum.obdeleven.com/thread/5504/replacing-modules-power-folding-mirrors The mirrors should have the wiring harness attached with the correct number of wires for whichever functions it supports. It's only anti-dazzle/auto dimming that'll need more wiring. IIRC, the mirror adjustment switch doesn't have any extra wires either, it's just an extra position in it's resistor ladder
  5. Google Chrome normally does a pretty good job of translating drive2, either right click and translate or press the translate this page button. I'm not sure of the door modules part numbers for a pre-FL MK3 as it's not something I've had to research. - There is a 2014 scan here: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/8676/ - There is a 2016 scan here: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/8058/#post-75182 - There is a 2017 scan here: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/33149/#post-279382 All three have memory seats so I would assume memory motors and highline door modules. My 2019 FL with power fold, memory motors and auto-dimming has these modules from factory: Address 42: Door Elect, Driver (J386) Labels:| 5QX-959-X93-42.clb Part No SW: 5Q4 959 593 E HW: 5Q4 959 593 B Component: TSG FS 011 0032 Address 52: Door Elect, Pass. (J387) Labels:| 5QX-959-X92-52.clb Part No SW: 5Q4 959 592 E HW: 5Q4 959 592 B Component: TSG BFS 011 0032 Just a reminder, ideally you want the modules from an Octavia. If they come from another car they will probably need a parameter/dataset uploading to get them working properly
  6. Anything is possible although you are now asking about two separate functions - auto folding vs reverse dipping. - if you want reverse dipping, you'll need a memory motor with some extra wires - If you want auto folding, you'll need two new wing mirrors with the motors built in and ideally a new mirror control switch with a fold position Both rely on your door control modules supporting that function, I'd suggest you start with identifying what your current modules support Practical examples: - Random example of someone on drive2.ru fitting a memory motor: https://www.drive2.ru/l/572878819371786178/ - Sasha did a decent write up for power fold mirrors here: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/442148-sasha’s-octavia-vrs/?do=findComment&comment=5155004
  7. You don't need electric seats. You need a mirror motor with position sensing (7 wires rather than 3) and a door controller which supports it...
  8. In theory, connecting the two + and two - wires should create a 1x4 ohm paralleled amp - I don't believe it's supported. Take a read of this: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/433136-inside-canton-amplifier/ From what I can tell, most people with a 4ohm sub add a separate amp for it.
  9. That page suggests the original is a 2x8 ohm and you say the replacement is a 2x8 ohm...? Therefore the wiring should be identical. You can wire the two voicecoils in parallel to get a 1x4 ohm sub. Not sure why you would given there should be 4 wires and the system is already designed for a 2x8 ohm sub. Am I missing something obvious here?
  10. Looking at your picture: I think you have a canton sound system with a separate amp, therefore the factory wiring for the sub (R211) is probably this: That has +/- marking for both the L and R voice coils which should help. However, I have no idea what ohm speakers the factory amp (maybe 81A035223) is designed to drive. Looking online, there is nothing obvious. You need to check the original subwoofers impedance to make sure it matches the new one. Given your questions, it might be worth having a chat with a local audio installer to make sure you don't damage anything...
  11. Assuming it's the "04L 107 065 M 001" part you're looking for, it seems to be in stock here: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/04l107065m001-complete-piston-skoda-34198.html
  12. What car and headunit do you have? Your profile suggests a MK2 Octavia which has completely different headunits to a MK3.
  13. Pretty sure the headunit is the same. I think it's possible to change from MOST (optical) output to line output via either coding or a new parameter set. @pab567 probably knows more...
  14. Post an autoscan or equivalent from your car to show how it's equipt. As for bixenons, you'll probably need: - either adaptors or new plugs for the headlights - a headlight range control module - two level sensors - wiring between the headlights and headlight range control module - wiring between the level sensors and headlight range control module - various coding changes to suit Random example of a 2015 Octavia autoscan which has headlight levelling: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/15068/ Plenty of part numbers from a Russia chap who did it: https://www.drive2.ru/l/8803158/ It might be worth grabbing an hours subscription to erwin to check for the correct wiring diagrams,
  15. Wonder if it's an Irish spec thing as I'm sure I've seen reports of cars on the continent not having this setting. Might be worth seeing if anyone local has VCDS/OBDeleven, have a look in the 4B adaptions for "Activate left/right hand drive switch-over". If there is no 4B, try 55 and look for that or travel mode 👍
  16. Could be in sport mode rather than normal or eco? Otherwise, there is a TPI regarding the power steering which might be the cause:
  17. The 4x4 and Scout will likely have slight different mountings due to the rear diff. The MK2 Octavia accessories brochure confirms it's a different part number: I think it's also known as 1Z0092155A but check before buying. Please note these parts are for a MK2 as that's what @greyskodahead seems to have even though this is a post in the MK3 section
  18. Have you checked the VCDS owners list and map? - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com-vcp-owners/ - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/224376-vcds-owners-map/ Might be worth contacting @Stu vRS as they are still active on the forum and probably the closest to you.
  19. It's part of the CAN gateway dataset. Not something that can be changed with VCDS or OBDeleven. You'll need to create a custom dataset and use ODIS or VCP to update it.
  20. I think the three holes in the second image are the ultrasonic sensors used for interior monitoring/glass break protection by the alarm
  21. I don't know much about the Rapid, you might have better luck asking in the Rapid section? Looks like there is a guide but I don't know if it applies to a 2016 model or not:
  22. Not in a mk3 Octavia... An rcd330 is for the previous generation of car. You can retrofit a Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus but you'll need a wiring harness to move the wiring to the glove box area and a new glovebox surround to hold the headunit.
  23. Indirect TPMS uses the ABS wheel speed sensors, if one of these were failing I'd expect lots and lots of warnings as many systems rely on their data. If the system keeps going off, it might be worth checking all four tyres are correctly balanced, the alloys are true and there is no damage to the tyres. Any of these could cause issues. Sometimes, it can just be the road surface that will trigger it but it's rare
  24. Might be worth having a look at the level sensors, the little bars which connect the sensor to the suspension have been known to fail on other models. The could potentially cause the headlight aim to drop with no warnings show to the driver.
