Picking up 2019 Karoq Sportline 2.0 TSI - First things to do?
My previous Kodiaq started making a noise from the rear when manoeuvring out a space with full steering lock on. And this was after Haldex oil change and pump filter cleaned @ 3rd service. New Haldex pump and oil changed again under warranty.

Bought a second-hand Kodiaq, trying to figure out which bits I'm missing
You only get the jack and wrench with with the spare wheel option. If the car came without the spare wheel option, you only get the gunk and inflator supplied.

Bought a second-hand Kodiaq, trying to figure out which bits I'm missing
I also noticed it has the customary second hand car, 3 ditchfinders ( iLink Thunders) thrown on it and 1 probably original Pirelli Scorpion tyre fitted. And they’ve lost the plastic wheel bolt covers and the tyre valve dust covers as the same time.

A 2018 SEL should have 2 umbrellas in the doors, a torch in LH side of boot. The Velcro dividers are shown in 2nd picture. Looks like locking wheel key and plastic tweezers for removing the wheel bolt covers, which you also seem to be missing, are not present.

Has anyone worked out how to disable remote boot opening?
I can lock /unlock my Kodiaq from some distance away, but the boot only opens when quite close as implied in the poor translation owners manual. My previous Kodiaq was the same.

Light switch fuse
When you say you removed the sidelight lamps, did you remove and check the rear sidelight lamps also.

Less than £10 for 2 Faraday pouches, or rely on keys maybe turning themselves off.

Exterior mirrors fail (2019 Karoq 2lt TDI Edition)
Only the passenger mirror dips , presuming you have the option which normally comes with electric drivers seat, and the mirror switch on door has to be set to L

Emails
The My Skoda app has area notification, which I believe if setup will notify you if vehicle moves from a specified area. I’ve never used it so can’t be more specific.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Exactly, as in my post above, my new Kodiaq has a 2007 plate on it. More like lamb dressed as mutton

Aircon not great.
Turning the ac down to 16° is only going to overwork the system, cause ice to form on the condenser/ evaporator causing restricted airflow so will never cool interior. Every car I’ve had with climate, including a previous Yeti and my current Kodiaq, I’ve set the temp to 19-20° ac on and auto selected and I’ve never been too cold in winter or too hot even in the current heatwave.

Sat nav zoom control
An Edition model from that era will have the Columbus sat nav, which does not have the 2 knobs at the bottom of the screen. To zoom in on the Columbus you can change the scale by pressing the virtual button shown as A on attached photo. You can the use the slider that appears on the bottom of the screen as shown.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
I collected mine 1st week February 2022. I have a private plate, and after waiting for over 7 months I didn’t even entertain the idea of waiting another 3-4 weeks just for it to registered in the new period . Confuses the certain few that do actually look at reg plates to see a shining Kodiaq with a 57 plate

Deactivating interior alarm,2021 model
Certainly is that way on other Skoda models, also disables dead locks. Can also be disabled in the menu on infotainment unit, which will only disable interior alarm monitoring.

When should DSG gearbox oil be changed
Depends on which DSG your car has. I believe the 1.5 tsi has the DQ200 dry clutch gearbox and as such no oil that is routinely changed.

Driving on the left France etc
It appears only the Sportline has the full LED matrix headlights with travel mode ( £1995 option on SEL ) Looks like you might need beam deflector stickers.

E5 or E10?
E10 is fine for use in your 1.5 Tsi. You may find you get better fuel consumption and other benefits using slightly more expensive Tesco Momentum E5 or similar .

Maintaining battery charge
A point worth noting. If you do invest in a charger, do make sure you connect the -ve lead to the dedicated point on the bulkhead and not to the battery -ve terminal as per warning in owners manual.

Maintaining battery charge
As above, the BMS is set up for economy and tends to only charge the battery on the overrun. Driving 20 miles @ 2000 rpm to charge the battery is just wasting fuel. Buy a C-tec or similar charger suitable for AGM/ EFB stop/ start batteries if you need to.

Has anyone worked out how to disable remote boot opening?
1) Stop wearing so tight trousers 2) Put key fob in a Faraday pouch when at home 3) As above, on second Kodiaq, not a problem I’ve had so can’t make useful comments on disabling remote boot opening.

"Convenience" window opening with remote stopped working.
Almost. Youdon’t need the 5 presses, just open window, hold switch in open position for a few seconds, close window and hold switch in close position for a few seconds then repeat on other windows.
