  1. I’ve used Prestone screen wash concentrate from Costco for years.
  2. You really need to fill the diff with the correct oil before driving anywhere.
  3. If you have 340mm front discs, 17” wheels fitted my previous Kodiaq, so 18” wheels shouldn’t have any problems.
  4. Haldex should have oil changed and pump filter cleaned at 3rd service. Skoda dealers will only change the Haldex oil but for the job to be done correctly the pump filter needs cleaned. Picture shows pump filter at around 20k and why it should be cleaned.
  5. Brightness turned down to minimum on doors and footwells. Have seen comment elsewhere that ambient light colour was changed after update.
  6. Latest update changed my ambient lighting settings, haven’t noticed any other changes that have occurred.
  7. Have you got dsg If so is it not the gearbox going into coasting mode when you lift off accelerator that you are experiencing?
  8. Thing is, the 1.8 tsi engine is a lemon and plagued with faults and simply won’t keep ticking till you get bored with the car. This is well worth a read…
  9. A 2010 1.8 tsi with 100k is likely to have plenty issues never mind the one quoted.
  10. The radar for emergency braking ( front assist) is situated in the centre of the front grill. The manoeuvre braking provides low speed braking using the parking sensors.
  11. 7 day shop always had deals on 12 month pre loaded data sims for the 3 network when I used them in my previous Kodiaq.
  12. If your mirror adjustment switch has a heated mirror picture past the R position, turn the switch round to there and mirrors will heat.
  13. If the headlight washers are used in freezing conditions and the screenwash is not strong enough for the conditions, the headlight washer can freeze in the extended position, which what you’ve witnessed.
  14. We do get snow here too
  15. My previous and current Kodiaq clear the screen as good as or better than my previous Yeti with the visible wires in the screen. I usually start car turn on front, back heated screen, and mirrors and by the time I’ve scraped the side windows rest are clear or clear enough to use wipers so would say about 3-4 mins at most.
  16. No, the original fit skoda blade on the drivers side on pre facelift and current Kodiaq is a 25” blade. Bosch only recommends and supplies a 24” blade, which as said does fit and does not leave any obvious un-wiped area, but is in reality the wrong size.
  17. And even they are not quite correct. The original Skoda fit drivers side blade is 25” whereas Bosch only list a 24” blade as replacement. Having fitted the Bosch blade on my previous Kodiaq it does fit fine and doesn’t leave any obvious un wiped area of screen.
  18. I had a Bosch A 282H 11” 280 mm rear blade I’d bought for my previous Yeti lying around so thought I’d try it. The blade is the correct size but the cut out in the Kodiaq rear wiper arm to locate the blade locking button is now oblong , and a different design, and the button on the Bosch blade is square. So it looks like Skoda have the monopoly on rear blades at the moment.
  19. There are a few requirements for stop/start to operate not just battery voltage. Conditions for the automatic engine shut down (stop phase): › The gearshift lever is in Neutral. › The clutch pedal is not depressed. › The driver has fastened the seat belt. › The driver's door is closed. › The bonnet is closed. › The vehicle is at a standstill. › The engine is at operating temperature. › The charge state of the vehicle battery is sufficient. › The stationary vehicle is not on a steep slope or a steep downhill section. › The engine speed is less than 1200 1/min. › The temperature of the vehicle battery is not too low or too high. › There is sufficient pressure in the braking system. › The difference between the outdoor- and the set temperature in the interior is not too great. › The vehicle speed since the last time the engine was switched off was greater than 3 km/h. › The front wheels are not turned excessively (the steering angle is less than 3/4 of a steering wheel revolution).
  20. Perhaps the extended rear window spoiler on the facelift means a shorter rear blade is required.
  21. Latest models go into “ freewheeling “ mode if you lift off the accelerator not just only in ECO mode. If you keep your foot on the pedal lightly it will stay in gear and as you know if more engine braking required using the brake will force a change down , or downshift using paddle. My previous Kodiaq only freewheeled in ECO mode, so small learning curve in new Kodiaq, but certainly helps mpg, never feels out of control, and call me sad, but seeing how far you can travel freewheeling without loosing speed becomes addictive.
  22. Seems that after 2020 , owners manual is only available online. Here is a 2020 owners manual in pdf if any good.. https://ws.skoda-auto.com/OwnersManualService/Data/en/Octavia_NX/11-2020/Manual/Octavia/A8_Octavia_OwnersManual.pdf
