  1. Is the car on the Fixed or Variable servicing regime? Do you have the Skoda Service record printout? This lists all the service records done to the car that have been put on the online Skoda Digital Service schedule. Thanks. AG Falco
  2. Don't think this is a Winter tyre? No TPMSS? https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/headway/hu901/ Thanks. AG Falco
  3. The switch on the dash only stops the stop/start from working but resets it's self after every ignition cycle. This will not change the charging system. Would suggest charging the battery regularly with the use it is/not getting. Yes, but the car needs to be programmed because of the change of battery type. An AGM is better than an EFB type. Thanks. AG Falco
  4. Luxury. 😄 Try a 2009 Fiat Panda 1.3 Diesel with 135K miles under its belt. To be honest it has been a good car all its life. Thanks. AG Falco
  5. Exactly what I do with three of mine with the same oil. Thanks. AG Falco
  6. Is it the original battery? Has it been tested? What mileage/use is the car getting? Have you charged the battery? Perhaps a little low. Is there not a button on the RHS dash, above the light switch, where you can turn the stop/start off? Is the battery you have in the garage an EFB type? To many questions I think. 🥺 Thanks. AG Falco
  7. Yes. One of mine has the Scandinavian DRL set up so parking/sidelights are even more redundant. Thanks. AG Falco

Yes always. I try and ask question before they even come in. They did swap to summers. Thanks. AG Falco
  9. Please tell us the result after your visit. It can help others. Thanks AG Falco
  10. CV boot can make this noise if you are moving on full lock? To check you can turn the steering wheel full lock, jack a road wheel up and try spinning the road wheel and listen / look. Thanks. AG Falco
  11. Don't forget that the engine also has an oil temperature sensor as well that might influence engine starting/running. Cold coolant water but hot oil signals at the same time? Thanks. AG Falco
  12. If the car does NOT have a spare wheel then you don't get the jack and wheel brace as you have no use for them? 😮 Not my theory. Thanks. AG Falco
  13. on the N-S-F bottom of the windscreen and is easy to see. Might be hidden under the wiper though. Thanks. AG Falco
  14. Can you use the engine heater that uses the sump plug entry method? https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=597300995&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB917GB917&sxsrf=ACQVn0-BHkfO_lmk1wAj81retTQ0_lGFkw:1704919082625&q=car+engine+heater+to+sump+plug&spell=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjGl6nC1tODAxXUZ0EAHaR-BEsQBSgAegQICBAC&biw=1536&bih=730&dpr=1.25 https://uk.vicedeal.com/products/car-diesel-engine-12v24v-oil-sump-heating-the-o-engine-oil-m12-preheating-plug-tank-m14-electric-heating-rod-m10?variant=UHJvZHVjdFZhcmlhbnQ6MTQ5MTc4NzMx&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAnfmsBhDfARIsAM7MKi0IGYziTsba7R0HigmZXsR9UJIldzFQHNL0xt9xC6K2CV1m76rh2OUaAjoWEALw_wcB Thanks. 15. You can get heated seats in a Fabia III. I have them in mine, it was part of the winter pack. Still on the original normal sized 027EFB battery after over seven years and 78K miles. Thanks. AG Falco
  16. Not if it is properly insulated underneath so all the heat only goes up on to the sump/oil? Could be correct. The engine has a split coolant circuit and the electric pump is mainly there to cool the turbo down after the engine stops. It also pumps hot water to the cabin to keep the cabin warm when the stop/start system stops the engine . There is also a second main water pump driven by the camshaft and two thermostats that open at different temperatures to contend with. HTH Thanks. AG Falco

Only yesterday had a customer who ordered 2 all season CAR tyres to fit on his VAN, with summers all round on at the minute. Thanks. AG Falco
  18. AGFalco replied to Colchristie's topic in Skoda Karoq
How many have you ordered? Thanks. AG Falco
  19. ? So post two was a good guess then? Thanks for the update. this can help the next one. 🙂 Thanks. AG Falco
  20. Yes, but I didn't hear that noise in the clip you posted above. Have you opened the bonnet and looked / listened at the engine while it is being put under load? Thanks. AG Falco
  21. Exhaust heat shield? These can get bent after driving through water / puddle and they end up near the exhaust. Thanks. AG Falco
  22. LED bulbs only work one way, so if the bulbs were fitted the wrong way round???? Thanks. AG Falco
  23. Yes. 🙂 But the pressure gauges are often not very accurate. If you have a puncture try the compressor only first. If you cannot hear the air coming out you might be able to drive somewhere and have it fixed without using the gunk/sealant. Always put too much air in the tyre at this point in time. Having a tyre that has been gunked will have consequences:- Often the tyre has already been driven on soft and the tyre is already damaged. Some times you can't find the puncture because the sealant has worked. This is normally only on very small holes. This is where just using the compressor only might have worked. Quit often with a big hole / side wall damage, the sealant wont work anyway. When you remove the tyre there is a load of sticky sealant that needs cleaning out. This is where you might want to offer the fitter a sweetener beforehand, unless you are going to volunteer. 🥺 Most modern sealants are water based these days. Be warned that the sealant bottles have a use by date on them. 😮 I am not a fan of this set up. All four of my cars have a full size wheel and tyre that is exactly the same as the other four on the car. Thanks. AG Falco
  24. Only if it is not repairable. Using the modern sealant wont damage the tyre. Thanks. AF Falco
  25. If you removed it the tyre has a bigger hole and will go flat quicker. Sometimes the gunk/sealant will temporarily fix a puncture if you leave the screw / nail / foreign object in the tyre. This enables you to drive somewhere. If you have the puncture repair kit you don't normally have a spare wheel/tyre and tools. Thanks. AG Falco
