  1. One side effect of this is that the Stop/Start wont work. But if this solves the problem..... 🤞 Go for another week and report please. We have had false success before. I won't hold my breath yet. 🙂 Thanks. AG Falco
  2. Have you got the H4 or the H7 headlight set up? Have you got DRL? If so set up Scandinavian DRL. That is what I have done. It has the LED DRL which works very well on the front. Thanks. AG Falco
  3. I have the 1.0 MPI in my Skoda Citigo and the 1.2 TSI in my Skoda Fabia. The 1.2 TSI ( same family as the 1.0 TSI but 1 more cylinder ) is more powerful, faster, sweeter and better on fuel than the 1.0 MPI. But the insurance group is much higher. Is there any particular option / extra that you wanted? Some say an SE but with fancy colours and different wheels. I have a 2015 Skoda Fabia III Brochure as a PDF if that helps? Thanks. AG Falco
  4. My rule of thumb is, while driving on a flat level road if your headlights light up the number plate on the car in front then:- Your headlights are to bright. Your headlight aim is to high. Your too close to the vehicle in front. Or a combination of the above. Thanks. AG Falco
  5. ? https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/how-does-the-uk-number-plate-system-work/ Thanks. AG Falco
  6. Are the headlights are higher up on SUV's? Thanks. AG Falco
  7. Advise is to stop filling at the first click of the pump. No warning light now then? Thanks. AG Falco
  8. Did they clear any / all the codes for you? Do you fill the fuel tank right up to the brim? Thanks. AG Falco
  9. Wet grip is more important with tyres. I now run Dunlop BulResponce all round in 185 60 15. The car had Nexen N Blue from new, I then went to Continental Premium Contact's but have found the Dunlop's better than both of these. These are much better in the wet than the previous tyres and at least as good in the dry. I have run this car for almost 8 Years and 80K miles. Front's have been on for 2.5 years / 20K miles and still good for another 10K miles. Rears were fitted a year later. NB. Dunlop is part of Goodyear. Can also be a bit cheaper than Michelin / continental. https://www.protyre.co.uk/tyres/car-tyres/dunlop/sport-bluresponse/product?width=185&profile=60&rim=15&load=84&speed=H&sku=1856015HDUBLURES Thanks. 10. PM'd It looks like you were on Variable Servicing before the last service. Fixed Servicing would make more sense for your mileage. I would expect the system to have flagged up items that are due / overdue that want doing. I would have expected them ( Henry's ) to at least ask you if anything else needs doing. Thanks. AG Falco
  11. There is no Service book with modern Skoda's. A Skoda Garage would only know the service history of a vehicle if it has been put on ERWIN. Any work done by a garage without access to ERWIN would not show. Do you have a record of what is on ERWIN and any other service work done? If you PM me your Reg Number and I can look up the ERIWN history for you. https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do Thanks. AG Falco
  12. Are there any Spark Plugs on the invoice? They might not have done them this year as they were due to be / were changed in 2023 when it was four years old. What is the service history showing on ERWIN? The spark plugs look worse than the ones I changed on my TSI at 37K miles and four years old. Are you on Variable Servicing. If so I would suggest you change to Fixed Servicing for the car with your mileage. Thanks. AG Falco
  13. Have you tried the spare key. Try turning the key both ways as I think the manual shows it for a LHD car? Thanks. AG Falco
  14. No, it defaults to a normal battery charging pattern. Keep us posted. Thanks. AG Falco
  15. So two new fault codes found and described as:- Infotainment data bus in single wire. 00469 Intermittent Open Circuit Battery Regulation Static Current 02256 Intermittent. Both cleared. Drive around the block. Scanned again and not come back yet. Thanks. AG Falco
  16. See you then. Thanks. AG Falco
  17. This Saturday. Same time, same place any good? Thanks. AG Falco
  18. Fitted five new All Season tyres last November. As well as doing the brake strip, clean and regrease I do in the autumn. So 6th service done on Saturday and MOT today. Service is an oil, oil filter and cabin cabin filter one. Battery wanted charging but the car has had less use than in previous years. It is now up to 49 K miles. The tyres/wheels were rotated and alignment checked as usual. MOT was straight through no problems. Brake and emission test results all good. Removed O-S-R wheel arch liner and still all good with no signs of rust around fuel filler. Sprayed a layer of paint around the neck while it was off. After 2.5 years the small plastic bung I found in the car when I bought it, has been put where it should go. It was missing from a hole below the left side B pillar under the car by the sill. I knew it was worth keeping it. It just took me a long time to find where it went. 😒 Checked for fault codes, only one historic one that I cleared. Updated the service history on ERWIN and reset the service warning using OBDII. All good with 'GoGo' and plan to keep this one long term as well. Thanks. AG Falco
  19. @TerenceWallis PM me if you want another scan done. Thanks AG Falco
  20. So alternator was good when you came up to me and I tested it. Perhaps it is working intermittently? But yes, when the alternator stops working the voltage would drop and the Bolero warning would then strike. Thanks for the update and keep us posted. Thanks. AG Falco
  21. Any news? Thanks AG Falco
  22. I have four cars and check the alignment twice a year on all of them. Most of the time they need adjusting, even at 6 month old from new. I see this every day at work. Thanks. AG Falco
  23. Yes that one. Measures the charge going in to and out of the battery. This controls the smart charging aspect of the car. The car by design will not fully charge the battery with this system working. Disconnecting the connection will make the car behave like a 'normal' car. The battery will then become fully charged. This might help. Keep us posted if you do it. Thanks. AG Falco
  24. All we can do is try. Same time, same place, same day, different week OK? Thanks. AG Falco
  25. If the TV has a Headphone socket then just plug in a pair of Computer Speakers like these:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Inspire-T10-Multimedia-Speakers-Black/dp/B000WQIKJ0/ref You will also want a cable like this:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004G7O1PI/ref Works well for me, not to expensive and just plug in and power up. Just leave the volume turned up on the speakers and use the tv remote to change the volume. Thanks. AG Falco
