  1. I would be looking for a 4 cylinder engined Fabia, the 3 cylinder engine "imo" is just unbalanced and not smooth at all.........it literally is missing a cylinder!!!
  2. Better late than never I suppose !! I did tell you the issue 3 years ago !!
  3. most likely need a new mirror assy.......... Does the adjustment still work ?
  4. Ideally you would want the left side to feed a supply from the battery, unfortunately most if not all the wiring into the cabin goes through on the drivers side. You need to remove the wipers and scuttle panel, then you can see the view attached. I have arrowed a "potential" entry into the left side of the cabin but you would need to locate it up under the dash to ensure you can access the other side. If thats not accessible, then on the drivers side, there is the main electrical loom entry, you can access this by looking up above the pedals on the drivers side, you can see "arrowed" where I went in with the factory cruise control kit. Using both scenarios you would need to get through the engine firewall first, that can be done through the bonnet release cable exisiting grommet (if your new cable fits) or drill a hole near to where is is.
  5. no guessing involved, the code is generated from the vehicle vin / spec given. The op can choose whether or not to try it
  6. so its.......... 410124DB217400B7822724E684D400520200
  7. ok, up to you.......Based on "assumption" it will be Bosch 8.2i then :- code WITHOUT hill hold 410124DB217400B7822724E684D400520200 Code WITH hill hold 410124DB217400B7822724E684D400520300
  8. no not really, if you have your VCDS, above where it shows code as 00000000000000 it will say component 8.2 or etc ?? have a look.... Also does it have hill hold control ?
  9. what Bosch version is it, let me know and I can generate a code.. Bosch ESP 8.2 Bosch ESP 9/0 (AS) Bosch ESP 9/0 (BN)
  10. try 41DC247D212B00C7821C246D845300400804
  11. have a look in the long coding helper, most of the selections are self explanitory.
  12. are you reading the code with VCDS ? if so open the long coding helper and click on each "bit" in turn and select as you require, then save If your not reading with VCDS, then I would be very suspect of a code reading only zero's......
  13. 26 is rear motor, 44 is front motor Fuse 10 provides a feed into the wiper stalk / switch, not saying it's the issue, but certainly worth checking.
  14. I am assuming you have checked both fuses relevant to the wipers.....? Fuse 44 - 20AMP Fuse 10 - 15AMP
  15. Not sure why you are so sure the window is not related to wiring problems, if this has been repaired prior it should be the first port of call imo. Wipers are likely to be the stalk itself "imo", Im assuming they do not work on any speed ?
  16. why can you not read the code from your car now ?
  17. Statutory seat belt "missing" is a failure in the car MOT manual It was not failed for the seat missing, just advisory.
  18. ok, so why take a car for an MOT with no seat fitted..............I am just wondering what computes this to take place ?
  19. your car certainly needs some TLC............. As it says, track rod ball joint worn, so can be replaced, but you need a LOT of other bits to !! Why is the front seat missing !! ???????
  20. not sure what you mean to be honest you can just replace the track rod end ball joints.
  21. it tells you above its LED...........to be honest, for about £50, why mess about, just fit a new one. I would ring your nearest dealer and get a price, even a VW dealer could get it, ask for trade discount, you can often get a good deal.
  22. part number is 5J9945097 it has a seperate "holder" which the spring clips hold it into, I think it has to be unlocked...... I don't think the lens is supposed to seperate, it's the bond / glue between the lens and body of the lamp which has probably failed allowing moisture ingress and subsequently lamp failure. removal procedure below..........
  23. The quarter window is a fixed / bonded window and comes as part of the seal / guide assy. Item 25 here :- https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2008-608/8/845-845000/#25 So you have to remove the seal / guide / window as one bit
  24. Does the ABS light come on with ignition............. ?
