  1. As title says, show your dirty car inside or out, it's no fun if you say it's dirty and it's spotless. I'll start with showing where Your Highness (my dog) sits, yummy!
  2. Both those prices are from ETKA, which is confusing. I've rang my local dealership up but couldnt get through to the parts department so left a message. I'm hoping they'll see if they can see the difference, they might even say they can only get the 000 number in which case I'll ring a VW dealership for the 6V0 number. I'll update should anyone ever be bothered about saving £3.98
  3. Does anyone know the difference between 6V0 955 485 (£5.02) & 000 096 706 (£9)? Yes yes £3.98 Both the same part physically, is 6VO a generic VAG number and 000 is Skoda? I know this isn't designed to fit on the Superb or at least the TDI's but worth a punt if I can get it for £5.02
  4. Where did you place the pads? Struggling to understand where, though I did find this, which looks like the official fix albeit for a VW https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/SB-10069579-2280.pdf Did you put the pad inside the circle in the attached photo?
  5. I read it a few times but confused, where exactly do the pads go? In the second picture does the black bracket need to be removed or lowered then you place the pad on top then put the bracket back into position?
  6. Try and stick to a lower Kelvin rating for the LED light otherwise when you use the fog light as intended it’ll be crap when penetrating fog
  7. You could get really geeky and set up wire shark on a laptop and see exactly what’s happening when your car tries to get the update when connected to your own WiFi, but you shouldn’t have to do that. I have literally too much time on my hands right now but I have a 2016 and not Skoda connect so I can’t test this out myself
  8. Only customisations should be in car setting so take some photos of your settings. It is a pain but at least you’ll know for sure if it works or not
  9. Ah that’s dirty, I assume you’ve done a full reset of infotainment for hits and giggles just to eliminate that?
  10. I believe there’s an option to select which country to update, try selecting a small country and see if that updates rather than do all at once. See what this crazy guy does at 58seconds deselect all countries bar one then try
  11. Two reasons, 2.4ghz travels further (handy for if car is on the drive) and second was I’m not sure whether the WiFi in the car can do 5ghz, if it can then great but if not be best to make the laptop be the same as the car can get for timings
  12. What happens when you press download anyway? I’m guessing you connect to your home WiFi and sit in the car for at least 1 hour (depending on home broadband speed)? I don’t know how the online update works but first thing I’d do is have a laptop (connect to 2.4ghz network not 5ghz) in the car then download the file from their website and see how long that takes, that way you’ll roughly how long you need to leave your car to do the update
  13. I've just looked and not on mine. I believe when you open the bonnet on the right hand side there's is a pipe wrapped but just below that should be where the wiring harness is, but on mine it's just a long flappy rubber nipple thing.
  14. Where did you buy the Skoda connect subscription? If it’s your local dealership I’d go back there and ask for a refund. Failing that I’d go to Twitter as that’s negative publicity for them which they’ll sort it out I bet. Annoying you’ll have to do that but it’s the way everything has been for years now, a bit like when people complain to a company and nothing gets done, the people then go to watchdog then magically things get done
  15. Is there a way to tell if you have heated jets without taking one of them off?
  16. It is strange but on mine I literally have an empty space where it could easily go 😂
  17. Also, if you go onto the likes of eurocarparts when you click Fitment detail it'll say 1KU etc. Whats weird though, is my front brakes are not listed on my data sticker, but as I have the 190ps tdi it'll be 1ZA, but I agree it's far too confusing for something which should be simple
  18. Ah, sorry I did read you meant brake pads and I listed the disc sizes. Have a look here https://www.bremboparts.com/europe/en/catalogue/skoda-superb-iii-estate-3v5-2-0-tdi/000115168-1 You can see the brake system pn on the right. When I do my brakes it'll be going with Brembo, purely because their discs are coated by the hub, so no more rust. Are your rear brakes in a manky condition? I was advised to change because of scorning etc but what I done was drive around in Eco for ages as you don't get the engine breaking so you brake more which cleans it up, obviously this wears everything down a tad but if your pads are thinning then driving in eco isn't going to help at all
  19. Have a look at your data sticker in the boot, do you see 1KU, 2EM, or 1KZ? I believe if you have like the 280ps Superb then you'll have 1KZ which is 310mm vented, if it's 1KU then it'll be 300mm solid disc
  20. Personally I’d ring Skoda to get a price then make the other car owner pay for it. Make a quick document to say something like on this time&day bla hit my vehicle, bought a replacement light and consider the matter closed so no insurance. Both sign a copy and job done. You should not be out of pocket unless you were in the wrong when you parked
  21. Discs are naff (guessing the rears), mine look bad but function fine but will change to brembo’s coated one as it’s painted a nice looking anthracite colour. DSG oil and filter changes at 40k
  22. It’s in the infotainment settings somewhere, possible in car > lights it could even be automatic as well but don’t quote me on that
  23. This is what I done, still absolutely fine
  24. 35k a year, do you have any time to do work or just drive from A-Z all day? 😄. How did you listen to the music? If through Bluetooth make sure the option for Bluetooth loud is enabled, made such a massive difference for me in my car and no complaints with standard speakers. My style of music is various sub genres of metal though which is heavy and dirty sounding haha
  25. How many miles? It is considered wear and tear unfortunately but if it’s not done many miles they should take this into account and even the mileage from January when you first took it in. The problem is you can’t prove you’re not one of those people who go over speed bumps at the road limit and don’t hit pot holes. As long as your mileage is way below 60k which is the warranty limit then I would fight hard for getting them to replace it foc
