Didn't see it having magsafe options? I dont have any covers on my phone, hence the need for a magsafe holder.

8 months is a long time waiting. We'll see how the orders go. Supposed to get mine on january. Ordered end of October.

Yeah well, i didnt ask for opinions for the holder, just options for what to get Carplay does not affect my need for a holder. In my current car i use the same spot as Octavias wireless charger. I just think that wireless chargers are stupid, since usually my drives are not that long that the charge would do anything more than spoil my battery. 7.5W is just a tease, not a real charging power. I like to have my display visible, hence the magsafe holder.

Can anyone suggest a phone holder with magsafe? Does not need to be a charging one. If anyone used one that fits somewhere in octavia dash. Perhaps on the vent or even better.

Lights over 2000 lumens require a washer, at least here in Funland.

I'd believe RS does not mean comfort. i Believe many will agree, that people who want an RS, wants it to be sporty. Not a couch. Either way, i dont get it, why does DCC lift the car even more.

Well no. According to updated tech specs the RS iV has 143mm ground clearence but with DCC its 146mm. Thats ridiculous for an "sporty" RS model.

Called my dealer last friday. Said that he was just updated for delays. Was supposed to get my RS iV on late december, but now its late january if lucky. Not sure how does my queue go since i ordered an e-tec on july but swapped it for RS iV in august.

Golf Mk8 iq.lights does not have washers, but they have little less power in them.

Anyone got an RS iV to get a view of how high is it?

I think they're great being so low. Sometimes i do feel that they are good friends with my knees though.

Does it have floor lights on the mirrors?

I'd really suggest the navigation. It helps the car for economy and you get the full screen map on instruments cluster.

Even if it did, why would the emission levels change?

I've been told by dealers that low emission cars are prioritized. (RS) iV was 3 mo and petrol 5 mo.

I'll borrow this topic a bit. If an iV model has an empty battery. How does it warm up the cabin when starting the car, in cars with or without webasto? Does it just wait for the ICE to create enough heat or does it still try to get juice from the batteries and use the PTC element? Or does it automatically start using webasto? Can i disable webasto for only manual use? Mostly i'll be using webasto to preheat the car if not connected to a power source.

Yeah. I was also planning on changing on Q1 but skoda had an offer for free maintenance for 3 years. That works as an extended warranty since we only get 2 years as standard. Anyway, was not even going for Skoda. Was about to just get a third Golf, but they really spoiled the MK8 golf and all the things i missed in mk8 was in octavia.

You are correct. The combined output is less than what it could be on the iV. It does not use is full potential when combined. EV mode was about 110bhp. On the other hand RS iV, gets the 245bhp with the same 1.4 petrol and i believe the same electric motor. The battery is about 13kWh with 10kWh usable capacity. Even if you'd have empty battery (no EV range) it can still output full power since it always keeps some reserve. Of course if you floor it for 10 minutes, it might lower the output something.

Thats a long ETA (if its march 2022 :)). Why didnt you just postpone the order? There might be better(/or worse) options later.

D keeps your gear quite high. Suggest using S or just flooring the pedal more

In new Octavia you cannot turn off lights without stopping. Actually my current MK7.5 golf has this delay feature now. I have to press washers function for 2 seconds before it activates the light washers. I do sometimes use it, but 80% of windshield washer usage i DONT need the headlight washer to spray all over my car.
