Press the lock button twice in quick succession and the deadlocks won't be activated. I always thought anti hijack was when the doors auto lock above a set speed.

Yes they are at the rear. As a caveat though....... I suppose there may be different front lights on different models - some led and some bulbs? What we need is a MK3 owner to add some info!

As @PetrolDave has confirmed, it is possible to enable the rear DRL's to be on alongside the front ones. That is preferential to 'just turning the lights on' because:- It's automatic. DRL's (front anyway) are brighter than sidelights.

How about if the car had the rear DRL's on by default? Wouldn't that cause the trailer to also light up? I'm not too sure that having trailer lights on without the car's lights would be a good idea.

I couldn't quite see on your cruise control stalk but on all the earlier cars there was a button on the underside which controlled the speed limit function - does your car have this?
