New (to me) Superb 3 - KESSY question
What trim level? don’t think any Superb had just keyless start (and not entry). Keyless entry can however be coded out.

Please help identify my (very rare?) 8-spoke 16" wheels from 2002-2007 era
They are the std 16” wheels off a MKI Superb Comfort (also came in 17” on the Edition 100) from memory they are 7” wide and ET44? (Ish)

Amateur Hour with OBDeleven…
Please tell me you didn’t use their one click coding and you physically did all the long coding yourself?

Fitting Mercedes alloys to Skoda Yeri
They both use 5x112 PCD, but the centre bore will probably be larger? Spigot rings can reduce this, then yes the bolts may need changing. Don’t forget to check the ET is similar on both sets of wheels.

Help please, how can I tell if a lead is a clone or genuine
Many generic code readers will not show up DTC's that VCDS will show. Yes there are other 'easier to use' ie '1 click function' coding interfaces out there... but be warned these also change things that are totally unnecessary and WILL cause you a world of pain when something totally unconnected now no longer works! It is ALWAYS better to physically change the coding yourself rather than to rely on the 'easiness' of their '1 click' options. There are also more in depth (and harder to use) interfaces... these will allow you to do more, but also have the potential to screw everything right up (as you are uploading whole new files to the controllers.

1 VIN per car, so you can do whatever you want as often as you like and it will only use up 1 VIN.

Black pozi drive screw heads = clone. Unless you know the seller you are better off buying new from an authorised Ross-Tech distributor, second hand interfaces sell for almost new money anyway. 99% on eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, Facebook Marketplace etc will be clones.

APR vs Racingline
I don’t but from memory it was a full engine. seem to think it was around 2015 ish??

APR vs Racingline
Remaps generally hamper resale as most people don’t like them. APR also have there bad press (like most companies though TBH) I’m sure it was on here where one owner blew their engine up with an APR remap installed on it. I don’t know the full story so just make your decision with your eyes wide open. Never heard on RacingLine referred to as ‘up and coming’ 😂 I’m sure I have even seen Ben mention they work directly with the VW racing team.

APR vs Racingline
RacingLine maps are done by Ben Wardle (formally Shark Performance). Ben has mapped 5 our our family cars, personally I wouldn’t use anyone else by choice.

Engine management light on !!!
Without a diagnostic scan anyone will be purely guessing. Contact a VCDS owner near you to give the car a scan.

Daytime Running Lights with rear lights
I suppose that depends on if it matters to you that the front rear of the car is always as visible as possible or not? By turning the sidelights on the DRL's then dim down to approx 50% brightness. As above the only issue with this is by turning the sidelights on the DRL's then dim down to approx 50% brightness. But this way you have increased the rear visibility but only by decreasing the front visibility. To answer the question, yes the rear sidelights can be coded to come on with the front DRL's (at the full brightness). The cheapest way for this is to find someone with VCDS and give them a 'drink' for coding them.

Superb 2.0Tdi (140 Kw)
My favourite are Shark Performance for remaps, they are no longer trading, but Ben who owned the company not does the remaps for RacingLine. You also can’t go far wrong with Bilstein suspension, far better than OE.

Superb Sportline
Back when they came out it was in the brochure, can’t remember if it was 10 or 20mm lower??
-
Superb Sportline
Not been in one without DCC, but the SportLine does have slightly lower suspension so you would need to test drive it really. At 6 years old it may benefit from new suspension anyway (Bilstein would get my vote. )

Superb Sportline
Nothing wrong with 19’s on a Superb if it has DCC, which the SportLine doesn’t (as std).

Throttle Response Change Using VCDS
Mine was older version of this: https://www.racechip.co.uk/pedal-box/xlr.html 5 mins to fit, a bit fiddly to release the plug as it's at the top of the throttle pedal so you are doing it mainly by feel, but it's certainly not difficult.
-
Throttle Response Change Using VCDS
Yes it was better than std, but it didn’t remove the lag completely so I fitted a throttle response box, which removed it completely

VCDS options on Superb III
Hi, I haven't plugged into one this new, but I assume they are now all protected by SFD? If so then it's not something I can do until VCDS can obtain an SFD token.

Throttle Response Change Using VCDS
No No issues at all with mine that had DCC (mine was also mapped to 220bhp) Do them together Finally you will need a HEX-V2 or HEX-NET not the older (and discontinued HEX+CAN) interface.
