  1. I wasn't aware that a Scout version of the Octavia 4 is available? Have you posted in the wrong forum?
  2. There are two threads in this forum about later versions, please ask in one of those - I think with 1804 you may have to update in two stages to get to the latest. OTA requires a later version than you have so the update won't be automatic.
  3. The important number is the 1804, which is pretty ancient. 2092 is just the software version of the display, not the actual "brain".
  4. Do you mean the instruments/virtual cockpit by the steering wheel?
  5. pre-FL means before the facelift O4, which will include your 2021 model. 1941 is the firmware version of the infotainment system, now superceded by newer versions which can be downloaded.
  6. What we need is a thorough public investigation into the profit levels on EVs, since it seems the RRP is "flexible" which suggests possibly excessive profit margins leading to prices that are high enough to discourage the switch from ICE to EV for many less well off drivers.
  7. Not sure how the ABS and TPMS firmware would react to different size front and rear tyres on the O3, it's been designed to have identical size front and rear tyres so you could end up with ABS & TPMS faults. Yes the RS3 has different sizes but it also has different ABS firmware.
  8. Resetting the one touch does NOT involve the fob, only the window switches on the door - and the door does not have to be open just the ignition on. You're making it far too complicated!
  9. But the E-Tec adds weight for the batteries etc. - be worth comparing the unladen weights of the two cars, and I'm pretty sure your Mk4 will be heavier than the Mk3 was so will need higher tyre pressures.
  10. Does one touch window open/close work on ALL windows? - that's a pre-requisite for the long press to work. If it doesn't then you need to reset one touch by the usual hold the switch down when the window(s) fully open and fully closed.
  11. Because there is no other source for MIB2 maps than VAG, so we have to "play by their rules". Skoda SD cards are available easily off eBay (that's where I purchased both of mine) for less than an equivalent size normal SD card at full price, so it need not cost any more.
  12. If music over Bluetooth is fine then the Bluetooth and the MIB are probably OK, so this sounds like a phone or mobile network issue?
  13. Cornering fog lights only works when moving.
  14. Two ways: scan the car with a scan tool and post the part number shown in the scan for the 5F unit. Slide the screen out post the part number shown on the label.
  15. That's what a quick Google said...
  16. Since there is drive to the rear wheels it's hard to see why they made that assumption? If the clutch/gearbox are faulty then there would be no drive to any wheels surely?
  17. There are companies that apply extra tinting film to car windows, just make sure that you don't break the limits on tint for rear side windows which I believe is 35% (front windows are 70% and windscreens 75%).
  18. Perhaps they were never adjusted properly in the factory? That's been posted on here before...
  19. All I will do is repeat the advice to read what private owners of TDI Octavia 3's have posted here about DPF issues due to short journeys. At the end of the day it's your decision, but I will say that I will NEVER own a TDI with a DPF based on what I have read here and on other owners forums and my driving pattern which is 80% journeys less than 10 miles.
  20. Different cables -so not strange IMHO.
  21. You only have to read the number of posts on here from owners having DPF problems most of which are from driving patterns that do not include regular long runs to get the strong impression that your driving pattern is not suitable for a TDI Octavia 3.
  22. Do both use the same cable? Unless you have an iPhone 15/16 they have a Lightning connector not a USB-C connector.
  23. I would say no, even on a 10 mile run my 1.8TSI reaches nearly 100C, and over 90C on a 5 mile run. Like already said I would change the thermostat as your first step.
  24. Have you tried it and does it work?
