Nissan Leaf 24 kWh 1000 km challenge
And that's the limiting factor at the moment, availability of a non-hogged and working Rapid Charger. Solve this and many more people will consider the switch from ICE to EV.

Head unit upgrade
I think @pab567is the best one to answer that.

Sounds like you've been unlucky - from 2006 until 2016 I had an Audi RS4 Avant (4.2 V8) but retirement meant I needed something more sensible and since then I've had a couple of Mk3 Octavias (a 1.4TSI Elegance estate and a 1.8TSI L&K hatch) and had fewer build quality issues than I had with the RS4.

Head unit upgrade
That looks like a MIB2 Amundsen without DAB and with Canton to me.

Long Term Parked Up
I left my 1.4TSI Octavia in the long term car park at Heathrow airport for 3 weeks when the battery was 4 years old, started with no issues on my return.

Cost of cambelt change
I had my 15 plate 1.4TSI done at 5 years for the same reason. For me the extra cost due to the ACT version of the EA211 makes Skoda UK's position even harder to understand or accept.

Cost of cambelt change
For me the real issue, which has been mentioned on here for many years, is why Skoda UK say 5 years or 50,000 miles when the advice from all other importers and the manufacturer specifies much longer time and/or distance intervals? Seems to me that Skoda UK are intent on making unnecessary business for their franchised dealers since the environment in the UK really cannot be so extreme - can it???

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
Updating firmware carries a small but finite risk of bricking the hardware, so dealers are under instructions to only update firmware when a specific problem is reported by the owner and the factory agrees to the update.

Tyre inflation - air isn't free???!!!
I had a Michelin digital one with preset which I used for 19 years on anything from a Citroen C1 to a Mercedes Sprinter 416 (twin rear wheels). When it failed after 19 years I was happy to replace it with the newer version.

Cost of cambelt change
The lower emissions are not supposed to mean lower costs for the owner, just better for the environment. And one thing is very clear we're all having to pay higher costs (purchase, running, etc.) to reduce our impact on the environment.

Huge jump in premium!
RAC wanted to increase my insurance from £383 to £487, with a bit of shopping around I've switched to Aviva for £395.

EV real world range and cost to charge
One Tesla owner even went so far to say he regretting changing from his previous BMW as the BMW dealers were so much better. Tesla need to remember the lesson of how the Japanese car makers grew brand loyalty - in the early days their cars were mediocre and no more reliable than European cars but the Japanese car makers recruited dealers that cared so having them fixed/repaired was a much less painful process.

Start and stop disable permanently
That's what I thought you meant but wanted to clarify that the firmware needs 'modifying' by a tuner.
-
EV real world range and cost to charge
Two Tesla owners I know have the answer to that - sack their UK support network and start again. They love the cars when they work, but when they need any repair work their local centres are appalling.

Was that by adaptation change or firmware change? Please give more details.

Add Blue
AFAIK there isn't a level sensor on the AdBlue tank, so the min/max topup values are estimates so don't take them too literally.
-
Start and stop disable permanently
Following Dieselgate VAG have removed all the diagnostic tool methods of disabling start/stop.

Skoda Octavia - code P242A exhaust gas sensor 3 on bank 1
You use a generic scan tool, and I'm guessing the MOT centre did too? A generic tool usually won't give the detail needed to point to a specific sensor, you really need a scan with a VAG specific tool such as OBD11 or VCDS to give the detail.
