Skoda SD card unreadable when unlocked so can't update maps
Stick a piece of sellotape over the lock window, this fools the switch in the drive to think the card is unlocked.

Phone contact picture
I saw all the contact photos from an iPhone 11 Pro on a MIB1 Amundsen in a 2015 Octavia.

Bonnet spare wheel modification
The thing is that in the event of hitting a pedestrian they will likely impact the bonnet area, not the roof area so what you have on the roof rack is likely to be of less concern from a legal point of view.
- Will my petrol Octavia start after being parked for 1 month at the airport?

Dried stain inside LED headlamp FL
... or should be. There would be no harm checking that the seal is complete while the light is out.

MK4 CarPlay
Given the weakness of the GPS satellite signals and the high levels of electric field that the EMP simulator can produce it doesn't surprise me that GPS signals are unpredictable at times. When I worked at an automotive consultancy we did EMC testing and some of the behaviours we saw on prototype vehicles at field strengths seen on public roads were quite exciting - e.g. folding headlights going up and down in anti-phase!

SatNav fault loss of position, ACC issues.
Sounds like the sat nav was basing that diversion on out-of-date congestion data on the M5?
-
Car delivery
Sounds like the dealership and/or salesperson trying to maximise their July bonus and minimise the time between them paying the Skoda importer for the car and you paying them for it?

Setting up a shared folder on Windows 10 to be accessible from Windows 7
I just have a NAS drive connected via Ethernet to a port on the router; this can be accessed by my W8.1 PC, W11 tablet, macOS MacBook and iOS iPhone.

Do all similar cars achieve max MPG at a the same speed, regardless of engine power/capacity?
Wideband lambda sensors are also fitted to some Skoda engines such as the EA211 1.4TSI and 1.5TSI.

Phone contact picture
What phone do you have and what OS version? The earlier versions of iOS on iPhone didn't share contact pictures, don't know about Android...

No esim for Skoda's sold in Australia
Can you connect the car to your phones hotspot?

Athermic whindscreen
It's not, my brother has a Vauxhall Zafira with an athermic windscreen (so he had to mount his Emovis Liber-t tag in the specially marked area) which definitely is not heated.

Subaru rival (Haldex and general skoda modding advice)
... but if you do remove it then if an MOT tester spots it then that's an MOT fail as any car originally fitted with a DPF must have one (or what looks like one!) when presented for an MOT.

No bong/chime from instruments
Maybe someone else on here has had the same question and will chime in? One thing I can suggest it that if, using a diagnostic tool, you can post an adaptation channel map of the instruments (address 17) that might give some clues?

No bong/chime from instruments
Is there a setting (either visible or using a diagnostics tool) in the instruments to disable the beep? - I'm thinking that someone (a previous owner?) has disabled them deliberately.

Octavia 2013 MK3 stop/start
It sounds to me like @Keypurrwants stop/start to work and it isn't? There are many conditions for stop/start to work not just battery state of charge, try looking on the infotainment where there is a menu explaining what conditions are not being met.
-
No bong/chime from instruments
Under what circumstances do you expect them to beep and they don't?
-
Regional Accent
The sat nav in my previous Octavia had a problem with town names like Bicester - which is pronounced as "Bista" but she pronounced as "Bi-ses-ter" - and Fareham which she pronounced as "Far-um". I reckon they use phonetic rules now rather than recorded speakers like the RNS-E in my previous Audi.

Best or Favourite Cars You've Owned/Driven
I loved the Quattro (capital Q) as it was an iconic coupe, the more 'normal' quattros (lower case q) with Torsen centre diffs were great, it's taken a while for the Haldex software to catch up with the seamless transition between FWD and AWD that the Torsen provided. My 1999 8L S3 had Haldex and you could really feel the delay and change in handling as it switched between FWD and AWD - a good car but not a great one even after I had it tuned to 285PS.

EVs? No thanks not when.
I've just reached UK pension age so probably older than middle aged, however I don't expect my car (new in 2020) to be the last car I will ever drive so I fully expect I will be driving an EV later in my driving life. I hope that by then the public charger availability and hogging issues discussed on here will be a thing of the past.

Best or Favourite Cars You've Owned/Driven
Best/favourite cars I've owned: 1985 Renault 5 GT Turbo - test drive the main competition (Peugeot 205 1.9GTI, Fiat Uno Turbo) but none match the excitement of a car lighter than a baked bean can with a tweakable engine and chassis (thanks Brodie Brittan Racing). If I could find a good cheap one (I know...) now I'd have it as a fun day car. 2007 Audi RS4 Avant quattro - fast, fun and practical (rescued wife & friend from work where nobody else could reach due to snow and ice even on summer tyres). 420PS wasn't enough so had to visit MRC in Banbury for a non-resonated Milltek exhaust and a custom rolling road tune.

Looking for download link for mst2_eu_vw_zr_p0478t
Infotainment firmware does not have any effect on bulb failure monitoring, that's done by the BCM - so changing infotainment firmware will not cause bulb failure errors, it's no more than an unfortunate coincidence.

EV real world range and cost to charge
The top search on Google for "camping" returns the definition "the activity of spending a holiday living in a tent." A pod is not a tent; a tent is canvas (or similar) but those shown in the picture are wooden constructions so are a chalet or similar.
