  1. That's a blast from the past. Back in the 1960s I used a length of plastic tube wrapped around the top hose on my Ford Anglia 105E. tom
  2. Bring back the Yeti the little G Wagen. tom
  3. Post a photo of the rivet, that might help. Plastic rivets are common in fitting trim panels. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to remove them. tom
  4. When I was having "post Fix" EGR problems on my Yeti I was quoted a diagnostic fee. When the problem was diagnosed and accepted as being covered by the trust building measure guarantee they did not charge me. I think they quoted the fee just in case the problem was NOT covered by the warranty. tom
  5. Personally I like the Eco Mode. I am a gentle driver and like the way it "softens" the acceleration. I am not bothered re the coasting function. tom
  6. I think you can see see page 176 of the Manual. tom
  7. The original WD40 was the 40th attempt (and successful one) at finding a Water Dispersant spray. tom
  8. Sounds like the oil supply problems to the top of the engines on the old Mk3 Cortinas. Can't beat
  9. My 2p! Any sources of radio interference near where it happened? Try a different dealer. As it is safety related and Skoda aren't helping then report to VOSA tom
  10. My 1.5 Tsi only does approx 5000 miles a year but I still have an annual service. I do keep my cars for 10 years or so. tom
  11. My Connect Lite no longer shows the routes on on a map. I get the message "Sorry we do not have sufficient GPS data to display your trip in map view". The start and finish points both have the message "GPS not known". Is there anything I can do to get these back? tom
  12. Do you have the flappy paddles? I don't like that slight delay when using the kickdown. I just drop a couple of gears with the left hand paddle and when the overtake is done hold the right hand paddle for a second to get it back to normal. This is the only time I use the paddles. tom
  13. As per above whatever the dealer did two and a half years ago fixed the problem. No issues since. tom
  14. Happened on the passenger side of my Karoq. I put it back a couple of times but eventually got my dealer to do it at a service. Been secure ever since. I have no idea what they did. tom
  15. If you want an idea as to what could be involved regarding the electric tailgate one company does produce a kit for the Karoq. https://www.hautopart.com/blog-skoda-karoq-electric-tailgate-lift-install-manual/ tom
  16. My car is serviced annually and the dealer changes the key battery each time. tom
  17. I remember back in the 1960s you could buy a small paraffin heater that you put under the car's sump overnight in order to stop the car freezing and make for easier starting in the morning. People bought these even though the car had antifreeze in the cooling system. tom
  18. Let's hope someone else here will have some idea. tom
  19. Thanks. Didn't expect it (or see it) in Trips and then "Widgets". I have unlocked everything I could. I still have nearly 18,000 points left with nothing to spend them on. It did however reduce me from "Silver" to "Bronze". tom
  20. I haven't found the plus button yet. Do I have to be connected to the car for it to appear? tom
  21. I am at 14500 miles with 4mm front and 6mm rear on turanzas (gentle driver). tom
  22. This is my plan. What alloys are you using, Skoda or another make? Are you using Cross Climate "+" or "2"? Did you get a good deal? Thanks tom
  23. I would like it covered with a nice fake walnut veneer together with the black plastic dashboard trim hydro dipped similarly. tom
