  1. Front bumper needs to come off in order to remove the lower centre grille. I've removed it myself. Pic below of it. There r lots n lots of clips holding it in.
  2. All mk3 Superbs r made in Czech Republic. Unless ur in China, India or Russia - they supply/build their own local only version.
  3. both mk3 Superb pre-facelift and facelift don't have dynamic indicators in their front headlights. sadly not possible at all. facelift Superb rear taillights can do dynamic rear indicators. pre-facelift can't. u can get aftermarket wing mirror dynamic indicators, for both facelift and pre-facelift.
  4. It's the Canton version.
  5. The gearbox is well and truly capable of operating in much much colder conditions. That should not b the cause of ur limp mode.
  6. It shouldn't matter horizontal or vertical mounting. I did horizontal as that is OEM for the likes of Golf, Passat, Kodiaq etc etc - so I followed that. It's been 5 plus years now - no issues with rain or water getting in.
  7. The rear only has one sensor, unlike the front which has 2x sensors (one for each axle). Hence a total of 3x sensors if u have DCC.
  8. To properly fix that, u need to get the DCC Mod. I realise this not an option for everyone, but if ur able to find someone who can do it - it does wonders and the suspension setup is brilliant, even with the factory 19s.
  9. @Mo97 - have u changed ur infotainment unit too? MY16 uses MIB2. MY21 uses MIB3. The Climatronic panels need to communicate with the infotainment unit, hence u need to make sure they're compatible and u have done the appropriate coding and/or parameterization. MIB3 is very different to MIB2, communication and modules wise.
  10. Thanks @travs I've decided to go with Option #2 - IE downpipe and switch to Galano ECU tune with TCU tune. Spoke to my tuner guys at length and we felt this would b the best way forward for Gandalf. The work will b carried out towards the end of Oct - I'm really looking forward to it.
  11. The grille for a facelift Superb is completely different to the pre-facelift Superb.....so the answer is no.
  12. The 220 Superb FWD uses 312mm ventilated front discs and 300mm solid rear discs. The 280 Superb AWD uses 340mm ventilated front discs and 310mm vented rear discs.
  13. Spring has arrived, so it was a good reason to wash Gandalf, after a long overdue 5 month draught, and take some updated pics afterwards. Some rolling shots...
  14. The DRLs r not designed to b replaced...at least not easily. To get to it, u must remove the headlight front clear plastic which involves extreme heat using a heat gun or baking the headlights. Then u have to pry the plastic off. Once the cover is off, u can access the DRL elements themselves as well as the DRL light circuit board itself. Putting it back is a mess as well because u have to not only glue it back, it has to b sealed 100%. A lot of effort. And good luck finding the DRL elements specific for the Superb. U can find the DRL boards though. I haven't done it myself, but below r some pics from someone that has, showing the headlight with the front plastic cover off.....
  15. My previous ones were Continental Conti MaxContact6. Did 50k+ kms on it. Now I'm running MaxContact7. Fitted about 2 months ago. I've used 2 sets of tyres in my 8+ yrs of ownership thus far - on my 3rd set now.
  16. +1 There is known service campaign recall on the facelift Superb wagons for weak/faulty boot strut hinges. Recall No. 55N3
  17. +1 8 plus yrs with mine - no flaking or peeling anywhere. Still in mint condition.
  18. Why r u so hung up on something showing up when u change the temp or airflow?
  19. no, nothing shows up or changes on the infotainment screen.
  20. I haven't replaced or updated the Climatronic on mine - it came like that from factory. Doesn't matter wat screen it's in, if I press the seat button, a small pop-up will show, not the full Climatronic menu. I can then adjust it on screen or continue to adjust via that small pop-up. MIB2.5 Home screen.... Android Auto screen.....
  21. These r my seats - leather seats, powered, heated, ventilated. My 08 Air Conditioning module is:- Software number: 3V0907044DT Software version: 4101 Hardware number: 3V0907044DT Hardware version: H34 My car is MY17.
  22. It's the same MIB2.5 9.2" Columbus Unit, just dressed up in a different surround - Superb vs Kodiaq. The Climatronic will b the same too, just different trim surround again.
  23. I have MIB2.5 High and heated/ventilated leather seats on my Superb, and when I press the Seats button on the Climatronic panel, I get the popup on the Infotainment screen to adjust the heating/ventilation levels. Pic below is after I pressed both driver and passenger seat buttons.
  24. Previously, I had tried to enable Easy Entry Seats on my MY17 Superb - no luck. However, after doing a MIB2 to MIB2.5 conversion recently - Easy Entry is enabled and working!! I wasn't expecting that as part of the conversion. I didn't do any code changes, nor changed my seat module (36). It is 5Q0959760C (both HW and SW)
