  1. Wat error? The Central Electrics module is the BCM. There r different versions of it. Wat is the part number of ur current BCM?
  2. I've heard good things about the SACHS strut top mounts & bearings.
  3. Yup, I've got that hard cover for the battery. Got it from AliExpress. Yes, it doesn't sit tightly on top of the battery, but it stays wedged in place.
  4. Sorry, my bad - I was meant to write "1D7". Looks like u have it, which is good.
  5. As above - no difference if wagon or liftback. There r different versions depending on the level of "bits" U get with it, such as wiring, plugs, modules etc etc. Does ur car have Trailer Hitch Prep already? PR Code AHV. If so, it will already have the wiring harness from the BCM sitting inside the boot, left side behind the trim. All u have to do then is connect the towbar to the towbar module, and the module into the existing wiring harness inside the boot. Once installed u need to do the associated coding (using VCDS or OBDEleven) to enable it all, including changes to Engine, Brake, ACC, PDC modules.
  6. found another feature "unlocked" as a result of the MIB2.5 conversion - Sports (Performance) Monitor!! woOot normally this only enabled on Sportline models.
  7. If ur doing maps or firmware updates - i recommend u use a SD-Card 64GB max and formatted in FAT32.
  8. That will NOT physically fit in the Superb. The Skoda 9.2" screen does not have a seperate frame or trim surround. Likewise, u can't buy the 9.2" screen from the Kodiaq and expect it to physically fit in the Superb.
  9. @dilino 4x Footwell lamps r the same type I believe. 1x glovebox 2x boot (for liftback)
  10. Been a week now since the MIB2.5 conversion and screen upgrade. Here r my initial observations:- - the 9.2" screen has a much higher resolution. its more brighter and the clarity is next level - the infotainment start up is a lot quicker than before - the screen feels more responsive. additional features gained from the conversion:- - split screen home screen. really handy to see 3 different screens at a time. i've set mine to Nav (main), Vehicle Status (top right), Audio (bottom right) - screen background matches background ambient lighting - Seats assistance in the menu to enable driver's seat access aid - grid view of menu options - clock on standby, or screensaver mode
  11. yes, the 9.2" screen has a much higher resolution. its more brighter and the clarity is next level. the C9D2 is not a screen thing - its a MIB software installation change thing. even doing a normal firware update will require this last step.
  12. As explained by @Danoid - it remembers the last state u left the start-stop state in when u turned off the car. So each time u start the car, u don't have to remember to turn it off. U do need to remove the centre console switch gear so u can install it.
  13. I have an MY17 Superb and my start-stop also kicks in before the car comes to complete stop. Annoying especially at roundabouts or intersections. Unfortunately it's a common complaint. Which is why many of us either code start-stop out, or fit a start-stop memory device. I have the later - works a treat. Had it for a very long time now.
  14. I forgot to mention in the how-to-guide about the dashboard trim piece that needs to b changed, ideally, though it's not noticeable from the inside the car.... unless u look behind the screen, or through the windscreen. Whilst I'm not a 100% sure yet, as I'm still researching, I think I need version E of the trim piece. My current part number is 3V2858418 NH1 (Brushed Metal). I think I need to get 3V2858418E NH1, which has a smaller opening profile behind the screen. My theory, with pre-facelift, is:- - MIB2 with 8" screen uses 3V2858418 NH1 - MIB2.5 with 9.2" screen uses 3V2858418E NH1 However I'm having trouble sourcing one secondhand as most r black from Sportline models. These r the options:- 3V2858418E HQ1 - gloss anthracite 3V2858418E NH1- brushed metal 3V2858418E NF8 - satin black If u have a LHD model, it will b 3V1. RHD is 3V2. As soon as I find out for sure, I'll update this post.
  15. I've now created the how to guide, for those interested. MIB 2 to MIB2.5 Upgrade Guide v1.0.pdf
  16. After my recent post showing the MIB2.5 upgrade, I've created a How to Guide, if anyone is interested in going down this path. MIB 2 to MIB2.5 Upgrade Guide v1.0.pdf If the above doesn't work, try this link. References:- - GitHub G11 to G13 Conversion Guide - GitHub AIO Firmware Readme
  17. The expensive Skoda ones, yes. Chances of finding anyone that is selling a set is next to impossible. Aftermarket ones won't b aligned to the headrest design.
  18. Both my front seats r electric, and the Canton amp is located under the passenger seat.
  19. Is this compatible with electric seats? Definitely not compatible if u have Canton as the amp is located under the seat.
  20. Not necessarily facelift, as the pre-facelift MY18 & MY19 models came with the MIB2.5 9.2" Columbus. Hence I'm looking for the trim from those models. Pre-facelift MY15 to MY17 came with MIB2 8" Columbus. It's not noticeable from inside the car, hence there is no urgency.
  21. I've already got the Hardrace rear swaybar and front strut tower brace. The swaybars r paired with Whiteline adjustable endlinks. I'm getting the Hardrace front swaybar fitted in 3 wks. I wouldn't bother with the boot brace, nor the centre underbody brace.
  22. Mission accomplished - MIB2 to MIB2.5 conversion on Gandalf! The whole process was quite easy to do. Those with a MIB2 unit, aka Columbus (Harman version) with 8" screen can do the upgrade. i.e. MY15 to MY17. No need to change the glovebox head unit. Just the screen. I sourced a secondhand 9.2" Screen from a MY18 Superb being wrecked. Got the G11 to G13 firmware conversion from mibsolution. Then once done, reinstalled the latest maps. I'll need getting used to where the things r cause there r no more physical buttons. Will do a how-to-guide soon. Fits in nice & solid, however there is a gap at the top behind the top of the screen and the trim piece. U can't see it unless u look through the windscreen. I'll look into sourcing this trim piece in the near future.

  24. i did a "Hybrid" version on mine - got the black Sportline grille frame, and kept the original inners with the chrome fins. the chrome fins match nicely with the DRL whiskers in headlights. i even did the same with my Skoda round badges - made the outer chrome ring black. did it to the bonnet & boot lid badges.
  25. I never said it did. 😉 I was simply responding to this line "A pal from italy mentioned why not slap the 2.5 and DSG from the RS3 instead ...."
