  1. No pics I’m afraid, but it can be done reasonable easily. I ran it down the Rubber door seal down the A pillar then the same around the edge of the carpet, up the side of the rear seats and under the boot cover trim, following the same procedure up the tailgate seal. The only bit I don’t particularly like is the loop from there to the tailgate. There has to be one to avoid constant use ruining the cable. Alternatively you could get it professionally installed. IIRC, on SWMBOs car it was only about £100.
  2. The connection plugs into the front dashcam and routes to the eprear of the car. They supply a 6 metre cable to do this
  3. The rear camera usb comes from the camera. If you but the Duo you get both cams and everything else you need. IIRC you also get a couple of trim tools in the box too.
  4. The Viofo camera display stays on for a minute or so then turns off. The only thing showing on the camera are two dim leds, so no distraction. BTW I have the A129 duo and it works fine with the usb.
  5. Same here but not had the non starting yet. Did the turn it off and on again thing a couple of times to no avail but it resolved after driving a short distance. Hoping this isn’t going to be a regular issue. ??
  6. A bit odd, but the reason is that I use hand controls. The accelerator uses a ring under the steering wheel that goes all the way round. I keep catching the up paddle with my finger when accelerating, putting the car in manual mode. If they can be coded out, or disabled in some way, that would solve my problem. The car is a Kodiaq Mk11 TIA
  7. Same here, although I need to find a short lead with 90 degree plugs.
  8. Well that’s Sod’s law. I’ve always found the satnav was very useful on the Columbus in my Mk1, and seems to work OK on the Mk11 especially if searching for businesses. I have the same problem with the new VC but still get directions on it. Happy with that until they find a fix, as the main display is big enough to glance at.
  9. I guess best start then. Heres mine, a 2.0 diesel SEL collected on Thursday. Already filthy as had a 100 mile drive home in the rain. Best feature so far has to be the high beam assist, which is a game changer with hand controls. I quite like the traffic sign recognition too, it just adds to to an already relaxed drive. Slightly annoying is lane assist and having to turn it off every time. Worst has to be the gear selector position as it requires a bit of contortion for me. Tried holding the push brake with my right hand and reaching over with my left, but that’s way too difficult, so the solution I have come with so far is hold the brake on with my right wrist while selecting gear, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.
  10. Mine should be delivered to the dealer today as the adaptations have now been done. Collection booked for Thursday.
  11. Well, after a bit of delay, I finally get to collect my car on Thursday. And so, the excitement builds.
  12. What have I let myself in for? Collecting the new car on Thursday
  13. That’s exactly what we need but in English!
  14. It’s a shame you can no longer buy the car you currently lease, directly from Motability. I thought when you handed the car back, that it went straight to auction. Can the dealer make an offer to buy the car before that?
  15. I don’t start paying until I take delivery and the lease also starts then, as normal. Most of the adaptations are paid for by Motability but I need an under ring for the accelerator, which is the bit I’m waiting for. I’ll be paying for this as, unfortunately, it’s not on the free list. Sadly, the cost has doubled from my current car five years ago.
  16. It is an SEL 2L diesel. I would prefer petrol, but the petrol version isn’t available on Motability yet. It’s has already been registered on my private plate, but yes, It will have a 74 plate when it goes back.
  17. It is indeed. It seems the adaptions company waited until the car was delivered to the dealer before they ordered the kit from Italy. Also, I believe that this is one of the first Kodiaq 2 to the other parts of the adaptions and there aren’t any equipment suppliers that can supply them. I have agreed for the adaptions company to use my car to design the kit, so it will take a week rather than a couple of days. I’m ok with that as I’ve managed to squeeze a discount from them privately.
  18. My car has arrived at the dealer. Ordered 2nd August. Can’t have it yet though coz there is a delay in some of the adaptions that have to come from Italy, nothing to do with Skoda. It’s looking like the end of November/ early December now.
  19. Can you turn off the sensors with the P button, like on the Mk1?
  20. Wel this doesn’t fill me with confidence. Mine is due for backend of October delivery, so fingers crossed it doesn’t suffer the same fate. It would be impossible for Skoda to provide a replacement as I use custom made hand controls.
  21. Is that a Mk2? I’ve gone for the SE-L Mk2 and it appears to only come with standard cruise. The adaptive is an option in the driver assistance pack.
  22. Good news. Had an email from the dealer this morning. Apparently, my car is at the port awaiting a ship!
  23. Is the usb by the mirror permanently live or switched with the ignition?
  24. I ordered mine on 2nd of August. Had a call from the dealer with a build date in September for delivery in October mid that’s true then it’s about right. I guess it all depends on the exact spec of your order.
  25. Hmmm, that’s interesting. The sales lady tried all sorts but computer said no. As I said above, I’m not really bothered as I very rarely use the car early in the morning and am never in that much of a rush at any other time either.
