  1. Aaahhhhh i remember my first day with my first skoda too.... ended up joining here the same day back in 2012!! Enjoy it! and the forum!
  2. Maybe in the car reviews section? might be a thread already there about the stinger, so could add to that, it will get more views than here in the hello section.
  3. Good morning! Welcome to briskoda, and hope the pick up and mew car ownership all goes smoothly 👍 id be interested to read a post about your experience with the stinger, it didnt really sell much over here in ireland, so its rarer to see one than a Dodge Charger. ( ive 3 of those in the last month... no stingers 😂)
  4. @FUBAR Look, its another fellow nordie ;) Welcome to Briskoda from down the other end of our little Island!
  5. A man of many words I see 😅 Welcome to brisky 👍
  6. Ey up, lad. t'skoda is lukin good 👍
  7. i get that you want an answer, but everyone here is here by choice. so sometimes you have to be patient and wait for people to reply. not ask the same question 22 times in 24hr in several different places. its just going to annoy the people you are expecting to help you. read through the threads you found that are relevant and start writing out the information thats already available. then if you still have questions, ask those and BE PATIENT while you wait for a response.. you wouldnt ask 22 members of staff in a shop where the biscuits are without waiting for a reply...
  8. Hi, just so you know you dont have to post the same question all over the forum, expecting an answer instantly. Forums dont work like that. also, for your own sake dont do it, as this kind of repeaet posting can get you flagged automatically as a spammer and the software used will block you from using the site.
  9. best thing to do is run the car until you get the eml back on then scan it without turning off. many intermittent fault codes are cleared with an ignition cycle, for example, early signs of a failing EGR may put the eml on when coasting after a longish cruise, with a maf error code but... no fault code will be stored, it goes away with ignition key removal.
  10. Congratulations to @Jasas on being being added to the list - newly acquired no.51 in Lithuania ex Dubai!
  11. Hi

Bon Soir! theres a few french memebers around so ye will have to organise a meet up 🤣
  12. Im really not understanding why its a problem for a driving test? an analogue needle speedo as is present is all thats needed to track your speed. a digital option is.. nice? but isnt necessary. the test cant deem it a requirement for a digital display given the number of older cars that people srill drive with NO digital anything, even a mechanical odometer.
  13. Hi, Welcome (back?) to brisky :) i saw a review snippet of the elroq vrs, it looks like quite a chunk of car! hope you get on well with it!
  14. as standard 😉🙃
  15. Hi and welcome to Brisky. this place is like the bmw forums except, like the cars, better in every conceivable way 🤣
  16. is it an auto? press the start button with no feet on any pedal.

  19. Hi and Welcome to brisky, didnt know Hobbits were into Skodas 😉😄
  20. id lay money on the arb bushes.
  21. Good God almighty people, why do we have to bicker so? this is a generally lovely forum to be on, and its up to us memebers to keep it like that. @Exkiwi Differences of opinion happen, but its a lot easier to get along with a friendly tone than being confrontational even when opinions differ...
  22. clunks and thunks tend to be bushes. as alisdair said , they might look okay, until they come out.
  23. evening, an amber eml coming on could be for several reasons. only way to know what it is is get it plugged in to a diagnostic tool and read the fault code history. did anything change in how it was driving before vs after the light coming on? did it go into limp mode for example?
  24. wow... people can get pretty hot under the collar while offering help around the place cant they? i think everybody would benefit from refreshing their knowledge of the posting guidelines - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/guidelines If you read it, remember mods can bin posts that serve noone or just seem to be getting personal in tone.. and if people keep pushing those buttons theres member strikes and timeouts that can be applied. disagreements happen, but it doesnt need to lead to name calling and stuff. mods are busy enough keeping the place tidy and functioing to have start watching what people are saying to each other.
  25. Afternoon, and welcome to briskoda!
