  1. @MikeMann Welcome. Remember you do not have 4WD now, just part time AWD but you can still end up with tyres spinning towing or not towing if no traction with tyres and surface.

Maybe just a location location location thing at the moment for 30 mph or 20 mph speed limits in the UK. Your areas at the moment not giving an audible warning. You know where you are though do you not so are aware if a built up area with street lighting and not a dual carriageway, and also not posted at 20 mph with repeater signs.

@Berisford Are your speed alerts as default without you enabling them. Just automatic speed warnings on each restarting of the car, so the new system?

New Mandatory Speed Limiters fitted now on new cars in the EU and ones will be here in the UK now even if the rules are not the same in Great Britain but are in Northern Ireland (Part of the UK.) It will be interesting to hear from members with new cars registered recently and ones registered in July 2024 how their new system works, or not.
  5. @Locomotive is it the Roomster 1.2 TSI? No point guessing what it was. Sounds as if it was the DSG but you need to have it read for fault codes logged if any. It might not be a fault with the DSG.(Dq200). It can be as simple as a bad electrical connection that caused the issue. EPC light is electrical power control. What age is the car? How many miles? EDIT. Not on a phone now and see 2014 if it is the Roomster. ? Was Service Campaign '34H5' required and carried out since 2017? That was a Software Update at no cost and a preventative measure, pressure issues, cracked actuators, casings, MCU leaks. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns Did not and does not always show here with a VIN check so main dealer needs to check, if the car was at a maindealers in 2017 or since they should have known it was required.
  6. Plenty have had cars remapped with a DQ200 DSG to over 200 bhp & 300 + Nm. 1.6 TDI,s and 1.4 TSI Twinchargers, 1.8 TSI,s. The DSG can be remapped and uprated clutches fitted. But then you could just get the car you need in the first place and have a warranty.
  7. The 2.0 TDI,s with 116ps use the DQ200 DSG, In VW Golfs as well. Pretty good fuel economy from them, but 1st gear to 2nd is a PITA. This economy was just after collecting it and back roads home. Hire car, but over the time i had it it still did amazing economy even on motorways.
  8. @Cedwing Yes indeed, but no place was cost mentioned. The Audi EV Estate will be expensive as well. A smaller MG estate cheapish. Business users that might go PHEV can maybe go with a more expensive BEV for the tax benefit and cost to run if home or work place charging available.
  9. @Cedwing a BMW i5 Touring is a BEV.

    Welcome. Which Enyaq have you?
  11. Welcome. Something has gone very wrong with your order. Is there something very special you have opted for on the options list?
  12. Welcome. And your lovely TSI.
  13. It is a 1.0 mpi. So non turbo. 2016. No GPF.
  14. Now i know why i feel energized like a Duracell Bunny & hearing voices. Voice of a dafty with a Porsche Taycan.
  15. There are a couple of Techs on here that can maybe assure you and say if you are best to even have the cam belt and tensioner replaced. Hopefully they will respond. @Crasher or @ApertureS
  16. @Bunnykins Makes perfect sense. How many miles has the car done? Save lots more money and do not have the cambelt replaced. Ask those advising that you do if they are aware of the VW Group / Skoda Recommendations, Guidelines or Schedule for changing it? ? Is it a mechanic / technician you spoke to or someone on a Service Desk?
  17. Welcome. Pretty sure you do not. Nothing wrong with the water pump is there? But then do you need the cam belt replaced? I will ask a mod to move your post to the Fabia Mk3 section.
  18. Guest_ replied to Maxr's topic in Skoda Karoq
@Maxr looking forward to that reply. Why would Skoda Customer Services or their contractor know anything about Skodas?
  19. I used one this morning that stopped at 80% and i had to go restart. Normally it just charges to 100%, or in the past it has sent a message to my phone saying at 80%. Location location location and anything can change anyplace as anytime. Que sera sera. USA.

Trim is one factor, but then it is not just which engines or wheel size it can be which tyres are on any of them. Best go test driving various and see what you think / hear.
  21. The Maxxis Premitra AP3 i am using now are excellent. They are fitted and on smaller rims than i have my Vredstein Quatrac Pro on. They were a bit disappointing.
  22. So bought and first registered in Great Britain, England Scotland or Wales and no compulsory Speed Limiter and then lives and drives in Northern Ireland so the UK / Great Britain & Northern Ireland and not required, or actually mandatory. Just the usual clutter ****.
