  1. 'Simply clever' would have been for the tech to look at the spark plug / plugs. When were they replaced. Failing plugs can be the cause of a failing ignition coil.
  2. Autohold is activated by the brake pedal and then holds all 4 corners. e-Brake is just acting on the rear brakes. Looks like the fault needs diagnosed. Fault codes read if any.
  3. Are you remapping it? How many tyre shredding BHP is your car producing now?
  4. Welcome. Run what feels safe and comfortable as you use the car and where you use the car. Are you driving with 3 adults and luggage in as that shows as a recommended pressure?
  5. @emberto1946 Great result. It was you that started off with having an issue getting a towbar or the correct info. Thanks for sharing how easy it was. Commercial companies / businesses fitting Mk1 Towbars must know that they are Type Approved for using on a Mk2 Kodiaq or are just taking a risk fitting them if not type approved. Maybe there was no need for a change as the Mk1 Type Approval applied even though it is being fitted to a MHEV.
  6. @lol-lol I thought you were posting about Public chargers and CCS or AC Tethered cables. So it is Home chargers and 7 / 11 AC cables.
  7. Is the DSG OK? & is your engine totally gubbed? What is wrong with it other than being a 2010 CAVE? EDIT. Read your posts now from last June and watched the vid.
  8. A lesson there. And who does the guy at the service think he is re check lists. Cheeky Barsteward. Parts & the numbers if those used, price, vat etc is easy enough to provide as Data Protection is not relevant, or Service Record online. Owners / Drivers and those paying foe Services and their labour are the people with the 'Need to know' or right to know what people are doing to their property.
  9. Hardly paranoid if it is actually happening. Where is it, any particular hubs or charger types, and are these the kind of place with poor lighting and no CCTV or security? TESLA Supercharger hubs or A.N. Other?
  10. Sorry no. A New Engine or a used engine? Have you got one?
  11. @whippersnapper Did it ever get the Breather Mod carried out and a software update? There was a Breather mode Mk2 Introduced in Australia. Then the Oil Spray Jet Update fitting was the next 'Fix' VW Group / Skoda introduced where there was excessive oil consumption. Many just stuck with things as long as 1 spark plug was not fouling and then causing the tip to burn off.
  12. @Rockinghorse Was there anything written that you received showing that the Spark Plugs and Air Filter were replaced, rather than that they were due to be?
  13. When stuff was done 8 years ago Donald Trump had just become President for the first time. Now as he is President for the 2nd time there is just 4 years until he is gone and then a New Brush will be in to sweep all before it. As to luxury vehicles, some do like to pay lots to show they can pay lots. The Tariffs on US products to China like Coal, LNG, Vehicles and Heavy Plant and machinery will be interesting to watch. http://
  14. @Greenmonster That is good. None there will be telling you that 0.5 litres of oil used in 621 miles is ok for a 1.4 TSI Twincharger CTHE engined vRS then. Has you car needed and had Service Campaign '34H5' carried out on your DQ200 DSG? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns What does Skoda Accredited mean? On job training and training on Up-selling , keyboard and communications skills and they know how to phone a friend or ask another accredited member of staff with no technical knowledge or Training / qualifications in Mechanical Engineering. SIMPSONS SKODA needed to sort or Staff and the lack of knowledge that many demonstrated over the years. The Boss used to come on Briskoda but really made a bit of a t!t of himself because someplace down the line the management was the issue at the Dealerships.
  15. @Rockinghorse Low miles but 6 years old. Has it had new spark plugs? Has it had a new air filter? Have you had colder weather than usual this winter? @DSL Colder weather, Turbos engines love that colder air if on runs and when oil up to temperature. Colder weather and still Summer Tyres on and colder roads, less traction, grip, friction. Harder rubber. *If all seasons on nit that much of a fuel increase.* More lights on, heated, screens, seats etc etc. An affect on fuel consumption which does mean a poorer MPG. Swings and round abouts. Winter Spec Petrol, E5 or E10. Less hygroscopic , less Ethanol than Summer spec, Maybe better than 95 Ron or 97 / 99 ron Min. Not the Same fuel as in Devon as in the Cairngorms.
  16. It is possibly that the previous owner disabled the stop / start. As many ask on here how to do.
  17. If it was new with new oil and filter then 105,000 miles would be when the service was due, If leaving it to 80,000 miles. But that would not be the best idea. Odd thing with Skoda / VW with new engines fitted under warranty and with now oil etc they might say needs serviced / Oil service weeks or months after fitted. Just because they are plonkers. They even told people due new spark plugs replaced in a 4 year old car that maybe had a new engine and plugs less than 2 years before.
  18. Welcome. What is it a 6 or 7 speed wet clutch DSG. It could be something similar to the issue at 25,000 miles. If a 6 speed DQ250 then it was due ab Oil and filter change at 65,000 miles. 40,000 miles after the new DSG was fitted. If it is a DQ381 7 speed DSG then plenty have had issues and are having issues. MCU,s.
  19. @Yogi-Bear Skoda / VW Group can be very confusing. so much so that the Customer Services Contractors and even Employees in Main Dealers have not a clue even if they work there full time and there job is all about Skodas. That is just how it is. Best sometimes to ask the Cleaners as they know more and hear all the duff stuff Service Desk staff tell customers.
  20. If a Skoda Approved Used car and they are putting a Warranty on it the Haldex should be done @ 3 years / 30,000 miles, and if not done should be getting done. If a DQ381 the DSG is at 80,000 miles or sooner. A DQ500 @ 40,000 miles. There is no DSG servicing by year, not 4 or 8 unless the car has done the miles. The DQ381 should have the filter replaced.
  21. @robdav Is it a 2021 car you are getting? Or have you got that now. If it has a Full Service History then does the History show the Brake Fluid and Haldex serviced already or is it a history of stuff overdue?
  22. What you get is maybe worth it as far as Warranty, and some servicing. But the Brakes need serviced, brake fluid changed, haldex and DSG need servicing. About £300, £120, & £70. Good if the Pollen Filter and Air filter do get replaced. But be sure they do do them. 1 or each, and a fuel filter.
  23. @vranisimo Where is your country? Does the difference in weight of wheels really matter when fitted to a Superb for road use? IMO the Belatrix look better, but if Diamond Cut faces i would give them a miss.
  24. The MINI has been 3.1 miles a kWh based on the Gross battery 33 kW/h and not the usable over the first and 2nd winter, and 3.9 - 4 miles a kWh is about it in warmer weather but below 20*oC. Hotter than that is better and maybe 4.5 as a max but that is much slower roads. Or coming down from the hills, like Braemar towards the sea and 50 plus miles.
  25. These changes were in 2022. & This was before the bigger batteries and more powerful motots. At the price i would not care about a heat pump. If using as a local run around and home/ work charging heat it while plugged in. Ideal for Fleets, Utilities, Councils, NHS etc etc. Plug and play. KISS, Steel wheels were something many specced for Employees cars being used many. Easy to just drive. ^^^ Look as he turns on the car at 1 minute 38 seconds. He has the AC left turned on from parking the car. Green light. / That will knock the estimated range down by 15-20 miles at the temperature when starting the car. Turn AC off and you see the Range go up. HE HAS THE AC right through the video. 100 % would be 100-104 miles for me at -Minus 15*oC. and 11% maybe 9 miles without AC on. He is getting just that in km.
