Overfilled the oil - what should I do?
There's no way you'll get to the sump via oil fill hole; is dipstick tube wide enough for your extractor? Otherwise just loosen but don't remove sump plug and let some drip out into a tray.

What’s this part please?
Yes, cam sensor. Looks like an aftermarket/pattern part. What problem are you trying to solve?

Is it a throttle body or an anti-shudder valve ?
It is similar in appearance and function to the throttle body on a petrol engine, but as above it's not for rev control. It has two main uses as I understand it, anti-shudder at shutdown, and to create variable pressure levels in the intake manifold in order to allow more control over flow rates of the exhaust gas recirculation system.

Switched Live for Parking Sensors
Quite likely that's it, yes, but don't know from personal experience on a mk2 Fabia. Connectors do tend to have pins numbered, but there's a decent chance it's the only black wire. As long as the connector has a black wire, it's probably an ignition switched feed.* Edit * No, actually there's a thicker black wire going to the rear screen heater on pin 1, white in the mating part of the connector pair. Don't use that one.

Switched Live for Parking Sensors
No, brake lights are only given 12V when pedal is pushed. Reasoning for the connection is explained in one of Graham's posts above. To briefly enable front sensors.

Switched Live for Parking Sensors
You'll find this black wire in position 3 of a 10-way connector pair on the left side of the luggage compartment. Other wires cause the wiper and rear washer to activate in response to stalk inputs. Test it with and without ignition switched on. 🙂

Yes, a for sale post was there a couple of days back.

Switched Live for Parking Sensors
Not true.

Warning lights issue
Get yourself set up with VCDS Lite (free download from ross-tech.com) and a suitable cheap KKL lead. Then you'll be able to read any and all fault codes that are causing the warning lights. Does the battery light illuminate when ignition is switched on?

Both front windows not working.
2001 Fabia as per your profile? Possibly the switch pack in driver's door plus another fault like a broken wire affecting passenger side motor. Checked fuse for passenger side?
-
Switched Live for Parking Sensors
Rear wiper power feed tends to be ignition switched 12V.

Wynn's DPF Cleaner. Or snake oil?
Nope

Original speed and load ratings?
Our (1.2 HTP) Fabia had T-rated on from factory. 😁 The OP was right though, his were 91V.

spark plugs are unevenly colored, advice please?
Where does the vacuum connection to the brake servo come off the manifold?
-
Haunted Roomster
Fit that brake light switch. It may be that the brake lights have stayed on and depleted the battery?
-
Passenger door window+ control not working
Broken wires in one or both front door bellows, I'd say. I'd probably start with pass side inspection. Do you know if car's build date is before or after March 2010? (Pre-or post facelift?) Different wiring in each case I seem to remember.

Engine code differences?
Is the A3 engine on an ebay listing? If so, sellers sometimes give reg number or VIN of origin vehicle in the auction details section. Either can lead to the full code.
-
Engine code differences?
Thank you too. Useful to know, to be able to advise others accurately. 👍
-
Engine code differences?
Was that on a phone or computer? I got it to show one of our cars details the other day, but I think that was on computer. Not seeing it on phone just now.
-
Engine code differences?
@Rizza, out of curiosity, could you try entering your reg number on the opie oils site to see whether it gives you just the three characters you know, or also the fourth, please.
-
Engine code differences?
CFF is an incomplete code, if you want to know the fourth letter of yours you could message me your VIN, or possibly get it by entering your reg number on opie oils website. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/
