2016 Superb Estate 2.0 Tdi 150 owners log. Issues, additions, feedback, questions, information etc...
The other thing that will massively improve the car - is the Cabin Air Filter - I would URGE you to get a new one because the old one will be gross. Its behind the glovebox. I would also suggest running some HVAC/AC cleaner through the car after you have replaced the filter. I usually use the AutoGlym Air Conditioning cleaner. https://www.autoglym.com/air-con-sanitiser

Sadly - I not heard that one; we really need a scan of the car....See this link for list of Skoda VCDS owners:

Is this an A/C issue?
So - I think first things first - change out the filter and then use some Air Conditioning cleaner - I occasionally use AutoGlym Air Con cleaner - https://www.autoglym.com/air-con-sanitiser

2016 Superb Estate 2.0 Tdi 150 owners log. Issues, additions, feedback, questions, information etc...
This needs to be scanned. I suspect this maybe a dead battery showing itself up. The whining noise could be the belt tensioners on the cambelt going south or they are overly tightened. Anyway, its back to the dealer.

Parking system error
Speaker is dead and its under the dashboard on the passenger side buried in the centre console.

DSG slipping/ jumping out gear
oooh - okay. Well, first things first, get the gearbox serviced. This is a number one priority. This includes the filter. I am assuming a DQ250 6 speed box here. If that doesn't fix it, try a gearbox hard reset (via VCDS). If that still doesn't fix it, it a DSG logic board issue - it could well be the internal seals of the electronics have failed and its got oil in the logic board and this will be causing chaos.

Is this an A/C issue?
I've never looked but does the Fabia/Polo have a cabin air filter?
-
Flashing screens on start up
Battery issues - replace battery (and get it properly coded in)

Mirror led replacement
Parts dispatched....I hope you get your LED indicators fixed.

Dyno test
The 1.5TSI engines are generally good machines. Quite pokey. Definitely take on @roottoot advice - when was the car last serviced? Try new Air Filter and spark plugs and run on decent fuel. The car BTW knows if it is running on crappy fuel and it will adjust the performance (by retarding the ignition). I suggest that you get a service done first, then you can take the car back to Mr Dyno and see what happens then.

Help required if possible
What's your budget? For about 350-400ukp you can get a genuine camera with built-in washer. 3rd party cameras kits cost 100-200ukp and the issue with them is more to do with either camera quality or coding issues. I would stick with original if possible. Start here: http://vagtec.co.uk/eshop/skoda/octavia/octavia-5e/genuine-skoda-oem-retrofit-kit-rear-view-camera-high-octavia-3-5e.html

Retrofit questions from a new owner.
To the OP @I_am_Beki that year was a crossover year for Cruise Control. Please note there is standard cruise control and Active Cruise Control as well. Yes, it is possible to fit it (2016 year had the firmware to drive that functionality). It will roughly require a new indicator stork and coding for standard cruise control. Active Cruise Control is a quite a different ballgame. I would sell the Greenline and get one with Cruise Control. Try and see if you can get a 2017 car as SE spec and above has Cruise Control as standard.

Mirror led replacement
@CakemonsterM Send me a PM as I have a spare set for a FL Octavia. Otherwise, if you want to upgrade see if you can get a set of clear Audi style ones from Kopaček.

VCDS Log & DPF Check
DPF's do have limitations on their use before the regen process ceases to work properly. Vans and Cars that do short stop/start journeys tend to need their DPF's cleaned around 100-150k miles (as the soot mass tends to congeal and a lot of folk don't use Cetane improvers/decent fuel to improve the burn cycle). @J.R.the biggest issue will be that the car cannot be expected to behave on a standard decade graph basis. We don't know how the EGR delete will effect the DPF burn cycle. Anyway the modern way of dealing with a blocked DPF is a jet wash (you can do it yourself or get a company to do it for you). They don't generally expire. They will probably need replacing after the second DPF clean, but mainly due to external corrosion.

Help required if possible
I wrote an article about an upgrade to a Columbus, but it also gives info about camera retrofitting. Have a look and see if it helps.

Help required if possible
Sorry, what you haven't said what Reversing Camera you have purchased - a high line or low line camera, a genuine or after market. Wiring is different for each different solution (although there are common parts). Question is Why did the previous owner cut the cable? That's bizarre unless the camera was a dud.

VCDS Log & DPF Check
In all fairness it also depends on the version of MK3 Octavia too. My 2019 Scout 184tdi has different versions of regen - a light regen which runs every thankful and a heavy or full regrn that tends to run every 4th or 5th tank. It depends on whether you have an adblue fitted car or not. My 2016 Scout had a different regen process tending to do a full on regen every tankful.

VCDS Log & DPF Check
I think I miswrote. If the car reaches 9g of soot, then the car will do a (light) regen. If it reaches 15g then it will do a full regen. If the car doesn't get a chance to do the full hard regen, then DFP light on. If a regen is still not performed then it is time for a Manual regen using VCDS. Hope that clears that point up. Apologies for confusion.

VCDS Log & DPF Check
Ref: battery. It's says so in your VCDS scan you sent over. On the key fob click open key and get your finger in the side where the key lives and open up the blank panel. Battery lives there CR2025 Panasonic battery reqd. Also clear VCDS log too pls. Ideally, you need to go on a long fast run and let the car clear itself. If that's not working then you have to do a forced regen. It's not recommended to do the forced regen too often only when needed. Let the car determine and manage the soot levels itself is the usual rule. Try better branded fuels with higher Cetane levels (super Diesel) in them also helps or use a Cetane improver.

Skoda Octavia 2017 FL Led Headlight
It should clear itself. There are evaporation tubes to vent any condensation but it needs heat in the headlights to make it work. Try going on a long journey of an hour and see if that resolves it. Try and use main beam as much as possible (extra heat) and report back pls.

Strange noise while idling
Exhaust Rattle.....make sure your hangers are all good and rubbers not broken. Otherwise, it could be baffles in the exhaust.
-
Dipped Beam Bulb Replacement
I would go with the Phillips Activision 130% H7 bulbs as these are a nice compromise between brightness and longevity.
-
VCDS Log & DPF Check
You have the right readings. DPF will come on if soot levels reach 9g. It's then time to do a forced regen. BTW - keyfob 2 needs a new battery and you potentially need an up to date version of VCDS (is this software genuine?)

Vrs tdi 184 engine cutting out when driving!
I would echo previous sentiments. It needs to be taken to a dealer. Engine cutting out is symptomatic of either a fuel delivery issue (fuel pump is failing) or your battery is completely snookered and the voltage levels are so low the CANBUS is having a CTRL-ALT-DEL moment and restarting causing system shutdown.

Help, CAMBELT
Standard cost I'm afraid. Check out the standard Skoda costs - costs from £500. https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/8b70c541-726b-4996-9999-66ebc7ca520b Cheaper from a VAG specialist.....
