  1. You need an A5 Camera. Your setup doesn't seem to have that camera.
  2. Several things that need to happen here. 1) Replace all your CR2025 batteries in the KESSY keyfobs. 2) Only carry around one keyfob in the car. 3) Don't keep the KESSY keyfobs together - and ideally keep each KESSY keyfob in an individual faraday bag.E.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403121070322 4) Try recalibrating the windows. Press all the windows down and KEEP THE BUTTONS down for 10 secs. Now pull all the windows UP and KEEP THE BUTTONS UP for 10 secs. Alarm and Window issues are usually associated with car battery disconnects or changes or power wobbles.
  3. Motor Hall sensors need replacing then in that case.
  4. Any DTC's reported? Can we have a scan of the car?
  5. Common Fault - the microswitch in the boot release switch dies.....
  6. You will find my old car for sale at Clifton Car Sales in Morpeth.
  7. So it looks like the hall or position sensors are reporting a fault. Whether Motor 2 is left or right hand side, I have no idea. This will take a diagram to figure out. @SashaGrace could you comment on the above pls? I think that Motor2's hall sensor is reporting a implausible signal which is then freaking out the close detection system. The motor basically doesn't know where it is. Once school of thought is if you could try and recalibrate the sensor first. Knowing VAG, it will involve a volcun three fingered button press whilst singing the German/Czech national anthem. There will be a recalibration button press function. Try reading the manual. If no good, it's dealer time.
  8. Folks, Due to personal illness and lack of job, I'm sadly having to sell my pride and joy - my MK3 Octavia Scout. I've found a company in Morpeth who will buy the car from me. It means I won't be around for much longer on the Forum. I might drop in occasionally, but my involvement in Briskoda will be reducing as I don't have a car to report on. There will still be a MK3 Fabia around....I might hover around there if I need to. Thank you all who had helped, supported, commented and to those who I have slighty locked horns with in the past - its been a blast. I wish you all well. Thanks Max
  9. I would also say that Skoda Surround is also broken in anything earlier than 0478 on the firmware. Latest Amunsden SOP4.x is version 0480.
  10. I have TDI blinkers on.....apologies. Its still a good call to replace the water-pump though - 2015 was still a known year for premature water pump failures.
  11. This is a a slightly subjective response but here goes.... In essence, once every 5 years and around 90 to 120k miles. People have got 150k and still not changed it. It was usually a failed waterpump that causes them to change the belt. In essence, it also depends on how well you look after the car. Do you let the car warm up? Do you drive it with mechanical sympathy? Do you drive fast/hard or gently/respectfully? All these factors will determine how long a belt lasts. I would first start and look at the belt itself. Is it worn, fraid or stretched? Is it cracked? If so, it is time for replacement. Please remember to change the waterpump at the same time.
  12. I'm sure I saw a version with just the phone holder in it....I'll see if I can find it.
  13. Yes, MPG will suffer when it gets colder. My personal recommendation is to use a product that I found from a company called Hydra International based in Milton Keynes. It cheaper and wi give you super unleaded performance for a lot less cash. https://www.hydra-int.com/petrol-power-blast.html
  14. I think it is worth splitting out the problem. 1) Address to rough idle issue first. A problem with fuel or not been serviced recently with dirty oil or block air filter would be a good first step. 2) It is worth implementing the Audi accelerator fix to see if that smooths out the power issues 3) In terms of the DSG gearbox, try and recalibrate it. There is no real servicing to be done on a DQ200 6 or 7 speed version so it will be difficult to improve the gearbox.
  15. AGM/EFM batteries are notoriously not good. On my 2019 Scout, I turn off the auto-stop/start as it does in my head my journeys are now not so long (10 miles each way to work), so therefore I keep my battery happy with using a solar panel charger plugged into my ODBC2 port to keep the battery happy.
  16. Okay ...I think you are going to need access to somebody with VCDS. Have a look on the VCDS section of the forum and get them to check the coding for you. ODBeleven is not perfect (it is considerably better than it used to be) and it can induce coding errors. You also need ODBeleven Pro to make manual changes to the adaptions and coding manually.
  17. You need to hard reset the unit by pressing and HOLDING the power button for 8 seconds.
  18. Okay ...here is the coding. See Page 2 for the specific coding you need. It works with all MIB systems (not just the advertised Columbus). I've tried it on a Bolero and Amunsden too and it works just fine.
  19. Answer is no. There is a lookup tables of what head units work with what screens. I am fairly sure that @pab567 can provide that. A Bolaro and Amunsden system screens are similar, but with different buttons. Columbus (Discovery Pro) us quite a different beast. You need a 9.2" display to work with a Columbus head unit.
  20. Glow plugs do fail .... about 100k miles on our neighbours Superb on a 2.0tdi 150bhp engine. It also depends which glow has failed. It won't effect warm running, it's just cold starting. The ECU measures the resistance of the plugs and if they are outside spec in terms of resistance the car will throw a engine warning light. Best to get it seen to asap as it is getting colder.
  21. Is it a DSG or manual?
  22. Try blowing up the tyres to about 34psi and see if that takes out the wallowing of the steering. My Scout is hell on standard tyre pressures. About 35psi is my sweet spot.
  23. Yes, anything earlier than 0478 on SOP4.x is junk for Android Auto. There is an 0480 update which makes AA fly. Try that first then try again with your new phone.
  24. If you go searching in VCDS section at the top of the forum, you will find how to code up automatic DST saving. You need GPS module to make this work properly.
  25. There are things that you can do on a F/L car that cannot be done on a non-F/L and vice-versa. Have a look at the top of the forum thread for VCDS changes and if you are serious about changes then you can either code them manually via ODBEleven PRO or via VCDS.
