  1. Folk. If you can get a full scan of the ACC module and send it to @langers2k that would be helpful. We might be able to assist from there.
  2. I'm in the borders if you get stuck. PM me...
  3. You need version 0480 - Skoda tend to cripple the auto updates so they don't update! If you search for Enable Skoda Surround, I wrote an article on how to do about 2 months ago.
  4. You can get a scan yourself. See threads on VCDS owners near you or you can get an ODBEleven for your phone and scan that way. Structs (full electric versions) - are stupid money - about 800UKP or around 900EUR each.
  5. It will all be about the servicing and maintainance. If that's all good and the car has been well looked after, then its a sho-in. It won't hurt for a new set of spark plugs and coil packs. The coil packs at higher mileage can occassionally be tempremental of damp mornings - for peace of mind, I suggest you get them replaced. What size of wheels do you have (17" or 18"??)
  6. Probably - the Columbus unit goes through the MIBINFO file and if it cannot see all the files, it won't update.
  7. Any failures will be reported on the CANBUS system. Get us a scan and we can look at it further.
  8. There is a possibility that you have missed off some of the updates. No Skoda SD card needed (this is only for the Amunsden system). Try a 32G card formatted in exFAT or FAT32 format.
  9. The root folder should contain one file: mibinfo and two folders: MIB1 and MIB2. unfortunately, if that doesn't work then it is a known issue with older firmware....hence me bringing in @pab567 into the conversation who might have later firmware....
  10. If you go to the section of adjusting the opening height of the boot, to stop your boot hitting the ceiling. You might have pressed the boot opening button by accident to stop the opening at a certain height. Reset the height open adjustment.....
  11. @Gaz learn something new every day.....I didn't think the DQ200's were strong enough for anything larger than 1.6tdi engines....
  12. In that case, I would check with @pab567 and see if he can supply you with the latest firmware.
  13. No - I haven't seen a DQ200 box on a 1.8litre car - not impossible, but I think that does not seem right. Can you get a scan of the car and look at module 02 transmission pls?
  14. https://ws.skoda-auto.com/OwnersManualService/Data/en/Octavia_5E/11-2017/Manual/Octavia/A7_Octavia_OwnersManual.pdf Go to Page 67 on the PDF / Page 65 in the manual- just check this is not an object being detected that is stopping it from closing.
  15. I think that a lot of folk on 2017-2020 Octavia's tend to just disable stop/start especially in traffic. I personally haven't noticed this feature (even on my previous 2017 VRS with front sensors). It makes sense if that is a thing, but I suspect it is a fluke this is happening. @langers2k might be able to throw some light on this one and in theory, it might be possible to code that feature out......(but I don't know what module you would look at - whether it was front sensors or the A5 camera).
  16. Yes - it is possible - I do that on my Columbus. For this you will need to go and visit one of the other sections of the Briskoda Forum..... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/7-skoda-audio-electronics-and-security/ You will see what you need on the first thread up:
  17. Hello there. Is your car a 2014 car or do you have a more modern vehicle? There are generally two types out there: DQ200 boxes for all Octy's with 1.6 engines and smaller. DQ381's for 1.8 and 2.0 cars - which are generally found on cars newer than 2018. DQ200 7 speed boxes are generally sealed units. If you have issues, then I suggest filming the issue and showing it to your dealer. However, on my DQ381 box for my 2.0 184bhp Scout, when cold, the gearbox sticks and holds onto 2nd gear and I agree that for that first change it is a little rough - subsequent changes are all fine. I put this down to a cold box and the oil not got up to temperature - which will cause that lumpyness on that first change. For me, its normal.....I will be getting my DSG DQ381 gearbox oil changed around 40k miles (its not due formally until 80k miles, but I think this is too long) which will keep things sweet. I've found that when you have dirty gearbox oil, the gearbox can be lumpy. Not a lot to be done for the DQ200 really as its a sealed unit. There are folk out there who have changed their DQ200 box oil:
  18. Have a look first at updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ and see how you get on.
  19. I would look at the back of the handle to see if any trim clips are either warped or damaged.
  20. These are now for Sale for 300ukp. Buyer collects....
  21. You can adjust it with VCDS; may ask @SashaGrace if it is still a problem for you.
  22. I canny count... apologies. Okay, so it's 4 years from 2017 to 2021. I think that the OP needs to at least check the belt to make sure it's not stretching when hot. At 96k miles or 140k Kms, you are getting to that point that it needs looking at. All depends on the history of the car and how well it is looked after too.
  23. Then sadly it is via the Menu button sorry. In your MIB system, Mirrorlink is a bit of an after thought by VAG.
