  1. IAD... Not heard that name for a long time!!
  2. Are these guys any use... https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/shop/pumps/generation-2-pump-haldex-vw-audi-seat-skoda-0av598549a/ https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/shop/repair-and-service-kits/gen-2-haldex-pump-replacement-kit-for-vw-audi-seat-skoda-0av598548a/ Not sure what shipping will cost...
  3. The windows aren't polarised .. they are toughened which involves heat treatment which is what leaves the 'coloured dots' etc you see through polarised sunglasses when looking at them
  4. I used Mannol in both our of cars... So no issues with that.
  5. As above or recheck the wiring and plugs as it sounds like one may be loose on the back of the radio or any adapter harness you've fitted
  6. The dealer will have removed during the PDI as there is a recall on them due to the possibility that the cover can come loose, drop onto the turbo and catch fire. In theory they are revising the part to overcome this so you 'should' get a revised part fitted at some stage but probably best to check with the supplying dealer (Rainworth / Bickertons?)
  7. Mine arrived too. They look OK (gloss black) and seem pretty much identical to the OE ones without the VW part number. Initial fitting was a bit of a fiddle as they were clearly tighter than the OE ones but I've just been for a drive and then taken them off and put them on again and they seem fine now - no harder or easier than the OE ones to remove or fit. The removal tool is rubbish though and broke after about the third use, but the OE one is fine and works with them no problem. Link below (they have a variety of colours but some don't get very good reviews - so purchase at your own risk). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324729657498 - "Audi Wheel Nut Covers Gloss Black For A1 A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A8 Q5 Q7 TT 20x17mm" from Partsulike
  8. I see the 'enemy' were present too... In the form of a Trojan (AKA Heinkel) bubble car.
  9. Just a quick update - I did nothing but three weeks later and it seems to have sorted itself - the globe is now white as expected...
  10. Just got some similar ones from ebay for our Kodiaq that include covers for the locking wheel nuts - about half the price.
  11. The spring g assistors will work just fine for what you want. We had them on our 2007 4x4 to help stiffen the back and stop the car sagging when loaded with a 4 bike rack on the towbar and the boot full. They did the job well for 10 years or so for minimal outlay. Beware when fitting them that it can be hard work and need a fair bit of force. Make sure the car is well supported, heat the assistors with boiling water to make them a bit more flexible and get them well covered in lots of washing up liquid them be prepared to battle to get them in!
  12. If it were me I'd be checking the spare wheel well for water and then things like the sill drain holes if there are any
  13. Well the sellotape hack lasted 4 months but it gave up again earlier this week. 10 minutes today and it's up and running again with a new ribbon cable from laser head to circuit board 😀
  14. Hi Ryan... Didn't you want a head unit to work with a CD changer? If so I'm pretty certain an ms202 won't as we had one in our estate and I changed it to a symphony out of an Octavia so we could use a changer
  15. I don't have Vcds and don't have an Octavia any more but did have the bulb check function turned off when I did so it should be possible. I don't think load resistors will work as your not getting bulb out warnings so there may already be some within the Led module. For info are the LEDs any good as I've heard bad reports on the light spreadand focus for them and only ever fitted HIDs to our old Octavia which were great.
  16. I'd forgotten about boss fox's citigo... Can't quite remember what happened to it...
  17. That's the bulb check function of the control module operating to check the bulbs (if they were halogen) are OK and intact. Either ignore it or get someone with vcds to turn the function off.
  18. Just cut a slot in the top so they can be used with a large flathead screwdriver??
  19. Gorilla glue maybe?
  20. Bluebells in the local woods (taken on a phone so not the best quality)
  21. Couldn't agree more... I saw a white one a couple of days ago and its one fugly thing... Probably more ugly in real life than it is on paper
  22. Ouch!!
  23. I dread to think what it all added up to!
  24. Very nice - there's a velvet red sportline up the road from my mums house and I always think it's a great colour!
