Keyless Start Hardly working
Sounds like a new start button is needed... Its a common issue from what I can make out and the one on our Kodiaq was replaced by the dealer for the same issues before we bought it.

Advice needed on sealing plastic scuttle panel to the bottom of the windscreen
I've found it stick to most plastics yes so it should do but the plastic needs to be cleaned with an alcohol (isopropyl) wipe first.

Advice needed on sealing plastic scuttle panel to the bottom of the windscreen
If it were me I'd use 3m double sided automotive foam tape... The sort that is used for sticking badges on. I have a roll of the stuff and it's never let me down for that sort of thing

gearbox remanufactured?
You could always try M&T Transmissions in Sheffield... I know they are a long way away but ship worldwide etc and seem a decent bunch of guys.

Problem with Gearshift Linkage Ball Head
It may sound daft but I did a temporary fix on a friend's Renault 5 that had a similar arrangement using a piece of string wrapped round the rod and tied behind the piece it fitted to. It was supposed to be temporary but actually lasted about three years.

jars' 2005 Fabia vRS
Well that's something I was never aware of but the dental check makes total sense now!

jars' 2005 Fabia vRS
I may be being thick but what's the teeth thing all about given its a heart valve op?

Haldex 5 service interval
Ours is on 22k now but 4 years old and needs a service... It'll be done at an indie so I'll be asking for the filter to be cleaned as well as the dealer didn't respond when I asked if it had been cleaned when serviced before I bought it last year...

Unlocking a car without a key - is this real?
Or a bit of that flat braided tape you get round heavy packages - fold it into a loop, slip it in past the door seal andover the lock button then pop the button up (been there done that!)

Unlocking a car without a key - is this real?
You could - and the Chevette before it! I owned both and the switch was a separate unit to the key barrel and just clipped (or maybe screwed with a phillips screw??) on so you could take the steering wheel shroud off, pop off the switch and use anything with a flat blade screwdriver / knife - you name it - to turn the switch and start the car.

Reduce speed limits to support Ukraine?
But yo say yhis and yet your posts indicate you are a part of this as much as the 'well off' and 'conservatives' are. Its quite stunning that you cannot see this and the hipocritical nature of your posts.

Reduce speed limits to support Ukraine?
20 is definitely a record... Its usually about 3 before he spouts off about putting cash into his pension to avoid paying tax, or how much he earns, or his little solar generator and battery, or something to do with politics 🤣

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
Glad it sorted George... We had similar last year as I my previous insurer had, for some reason onlu known to them, entered a non fault accident on the CUE database twice! Like you it took a bit of sorting out but I eventually got written confirmation just in case of future issues.

Replacing a Kodiaq - or not?
Most of the OP comments seem to be dealer related... as opposed to car? However, the start button is a common fault and an easy fix as it simply needs a new button fitting which is quick and easy - so not sure why the dealer hasn't done that yet (again dodgy dealer?)

Given your comments it might be worth naming and shaming to avid others having a similar experience?

Photographs of Past Cars...
I remember thrashing one of those around an airfield a long time ago! the place I was at also had an 8v that was torquier and would pull away slightly out of corners but was then caught by the 16v on the straights. After razzing both I had a go in an Ferrari Mondial that had a pig of a gearbox so was glad to get back in my MX5 for the drive home!

Racingline Remap
Yep I'm pretty sure Ben from Shark is now at Racing line. We had our mkii Octavia 4x4 sorted by Shark and had no issues over about 80k miles

NGK iridium BKR5EIX-11, do they look good?
I don't know for definite but would suggest yes as that will be the gap the system voltage etc. can cope with.

Octavia II 4X4 under floor Boot Space
Just space for a spare wheel. You might get a small tank in side the dish of the wheel, or alternatively ditch the spare, carry a repair kit and pump in one of the side cubbys and get a tank the size and shape of the wheel well. One thing to remember though is that the 2.0 pd tdi 4x4 had a dpf so you'd have to get a 1.9...

Octavia II 4X4 under floor Boot Space
It takes up some boot space as the floor is slightly raised compared to a non 4x4 so you can't have the variable boot floor but there is still a spare wheel well which on ours took a full size spare.
