I cant get over this possible FRAUD (furious! )

Featured Replies

Around 9 weeks ago i was involved in a minor bump where my octy just got a scratch on its front bumper and slightly bent the other pesons front wing, both vehicles could be drove away then the next day her car was more damaged like someone had bashed it in further, so i sent these pictures to my insurance and sent pics of my car damage.

Now i get a solicitors letter acting on her behalf saying she is claiming for personal injury of £15,0000.

HERE IS THE INTRESTING BIT...her solicitors have revealled that she was involved in another Road Traffic Accident just 2 weeks after:eek:  and that her injuries sustained in my accident may be made far worse   how the F(*&k does tis work here is a link to the actual admission...

I have now forwarded this to my insurance and have said that i think this is outragous, surley her injuries cant of been that bad if she was driving again just 2 weeks after as she is also claiming for spinal muscle damage aswell .

What do you guys think

I have also found out that my insurance have requested a number of times to see her car and she has declined and she has been seen dancing in a nightclub at the weekend.

I hope she dosent get £15,000 for such a minor bump.

Someone is trying to pull a fast one imo, cheeky bint! Does it say who caused the other RTA, was it her or another driver?

And the damage to the other persons car...

Would an insurance investigation find that the damage to the other persons car couldnt have been done by mine, Its far to high up in the wing.

£400 car = £15,000 payout come on.

I will be watching that program tomorrow night on the telly "Scams, Cheats & Fiddles" its all about car related insurance dodgy claims.

She's clearly taking the **** , but that's for your insurance company to sort out and not you , but if you can prove she's been dancing I'm sure they'll be pleased to know.

Oh , and just cause she was involved in another RTA that doesn't mean she was driving....

Either way it doesn't affect your future insurance as it's a single claim no matter how much it was for

Did you admit responsibility at the scene and to who?

You should never do that for starters - that's what insurers and plod do.

Unfortunatley i havent got evidence :( I wouldnt mind if she had a proper injury. But to be involved in another RTA just 2 weeks after mine sounds like they are looking for a nice christmas!.

Thats made up aswell as i did not admit it was my fault at the scene, when the police came round 3 days after the bump they did a collision report and asked if i was admitting it was my fault told them no, its in the hands of my insurance now.

This is how it happend I was at a junction of a main road that had just been layed with new tarmac and it was that new there wasnt any white road markings, I looked to my right then left then as i was about to pull out there was a young lad on a bike on the rd (towards my right) which is the direction i was pulling out of the junction but they were wobbeling and i thought they were going across the junction, but then they went on the pavement and got off their bike.

All this happened in a split second and then i pulled out and nudged into the other car, maybe i was beeing over concerned for the young lad.

It looks like my fault but what gets to me is that the damage to the other persons car has been made worse since the accident.

I will just leave it with my insurance.

IMHO she won't get anything from that. We are currently going through a claim for whiplash with SWMBO, she was hit from behind by a car on the A34 whilst she was stationary in traffic, the car that hit her was was then hit by a transit van. She recieved two quite substantial impacts and did have a true injury.

Firstly the insurance company only offered something like £1900 including our expenses initially and she has had several lots of Physio and a couple of Doctors visits - Still not sorted and still in pain.

Are you saying she wont get anything because they have done the car in further or do you mean the claim for injuries. I still cant get over the fact that the insurance are taking their time working this out when you look at the damage to mine.

Compared to the other car

It just dosent match damage wise and it seems its just me trying to explain all this with the insurance coming across like they dont care and just pay her out her £15,000

encourage her to go for such a large claim as then it will be thrown out completely :)

swmbo got knocked off her bike a couple years ago and broke both arms, one will never be the same and still gives trouble now, that only got about 4 grand and that was either teh 2nd or third offer so 15k ain't never happening fella!

Have a trip to were she has been seen dancing......................

.............remember your camera tho......;)

Provide your insurance co with any evidence you have and they'll do the leg work in proving her injury is a sham.

On most claims over £10k, you're almost certain to be followed covertly by someone working on behalf of the insurance co to see how bad your injuries are.

Lifting the shopping out of a car, several heavy bags in each hand, with such an injury? Claim thron our Mrs scambags

I thought whiplash injury only occurred when hit from behind as the head is forced back when the body and car move forward.

From the damage to the cars, the amount of energy involved is small.

As I said in a post some weeks ago, a similar thing happened to my wife and the other driver claimed similarly. My wife's insurance company got tough with his insurance company who then paid out for both vehicles and dismissed his injury claim.

Leave it to the insurance company - they see many claims and know when someone is trying it on.

i would contact insurers and i would also contact the police. even if they dont do anything they can add it to their intelligence file in case more have complained and maybe if they get enough evidence they will do something.

sorry to hear bud, if it wasnt so serious it would be funny cause of the amount she is lookin 4, and how could you get those injurys from a tip and how fast were you going 10-15 mph, no way

speaking from professional experience, if she was that badly injured why didnt she ask for an ambulance at the time of the incident. a freind of mine was knocked off his bike at a t junction (not his fault) smashed his ankle (foot almost fell off) and he has been offered 6k for a permanant disability. I would take it to court see how far she gets.

She got a facebook profile?

If so and she has pictures of her dancing at the weekend up on there, BINGO.

F**king cow, I'd make your insurance take it to court.

its frustrating i know, i had someone claiming against me for back pains when they were 2 cars ahead, the car i hit did bump him but there wasnt even a scratch on the paint, didnt ask for any medical assistance at the time. also the women i actually hit did call for ambulance, but when the police asked about moving her car she jumped in, looked right round to check nothing coming and pulled it off the road, not stiff or anything.

although its frustrating i just think its why we pay insurance, and insurance companies arent going to pay out easily, they will investigate surely!

she probably is trying a fast one. it woudl be interesting to know the details of the other RTA and like said above if you know her name google it/get a third party to add her facebook etc etc

Hi Justinbarrow,

I think that this is the case of bad human nature here, and I hate persons that are trying to make gain from your misfortune. I am looking at the damage to the other car, and not thinking of the accident, the front tyre is looking to have less tread than would be legal here, but it is maybe difficult to see this.

She is maybe part of organised gang member that is going around doing these things, as this is being said on TV sometimes. It is good that you are not taking responsibilty, and so she may not make too much money, and I am hoping none here.

Best of luck to you with this one, and fight it like the tiger would be doing.

Soviet:rolleyes::thumbdwn::thumbup:

What do you guys think

I think she should be banned from driving

The issue of the 2nd accident could be critical info to your insurance co.

2nd accident in 2 weeks sounds like bad driving, and could point blame in her direction ;)

As said, if you have any evidence which the insurance co may find useful, forward it on. No need to go into detail, simply "found this and thought it may be be of value regarding my case".

I think she should be banned from driving

Or banned from living

I think she should be prosecuted for insurance fraud and if found guilty banged up and banned from driving for life.

From the other side, a while ago I was involved in a 60mph + 'T' bone accident where I was the 'T' boner, the 'T' boneee having blithely pulled across the road in front of me.

Apart from a couple of bruises from my seatbelt I was uninjured yet my insurance company badgered me incessantly to lodge a claim for personal injuries which I refused to do.
