Briskoda Super Rally Day 12th July

Featured Replies

I suppose it's time to eat some humble pie as this has clearly got the support of the membership and appears to have grasped the imagination of SUK which only a few months ago I didn't think possible.

If you'd have asked me last year that Briskoda were capable of organising something like this I'd have laughed at you, but now have to take my hat off to Colin/John and all those involved in the organisation of this event as you've clearly pulled it off and despite our previous differences I wish it a success

.......just got to pray to the gods for fine weather :o

Steve I assume you are coming along?

Steve I assume you are coming along?

Not 100% certain which is why my name is not down, but hoping to be there

Really looking forward to this and it's great all the effort being put into it!

Just bought my ticket for the museum.

If anyone is heading down from York kind of area then I will be setting off at about 7:30am as I reckon it will take about 2 + 1/2 hours to get down there.

Phil

Lol... I don't normally drive like that!

I only do 60 on the motorway (if conditions allow... not regardless! lol)!

I just like some 'spirited' driving on fun little roads!

Besides... you've got to try extra hard in a car like mine!

Phil

Yes, I remember the last time you did the C&F :D

Who? Me?!

Downhill, towards a 90-ish left, overtaking a Tesco arctic? :rubchin: :D

Thats the spirit!

BRISKODA, Pronounced "bris-skoda", a brisk skoda. A skoda driven briskly :)

C&F meets wouldn't be C&F meets without a few "moments".

Icy corners and take-off humps come to mind for me!

Was good; just didn't quite expect the Felly to follow me past :)

Nope... not ringing any bells!

Must have me confuzzled with some other felicia that happened to be there driving briskly that day! :D

I'm amazed I managed so well that day as that was before my new tyres!

Managed to keep a few in my rear view mirror round some twisties at least!

...so make that 1½hrs then Phil ?? - I've seen your driving!

I nominate you to arrange the Yorkshire contingent convoy!

I've alread step up a thread for the purpose in the Yorkshire meets section.

Just start a Sunday morning list if you don't fancy going down on Saturday.

Ok folks away to look into some accomodation that I'm going to provisionally book ie premier inn, in case I can't make it, still a bit of a maybe but hoping to be there.

Davy

Ok I've managed to book accomdation in Nuneaton, as said it's not 100% certain that I will be able to attend, will find out nearer to the time if I can or not but the place we have booked will not take any cash till we arrive.

Cheers

Davy

HEY

can't wait for this it will be my first Rally!!!

Really looking forward to meet people who also drive Skoda's and to see what the meets are like

SO SEE ALL YOU DUDES AND DUDESS AT THE MEET.

will be there all being well:)

I'd love to try to make it - I've never been to a Skoda meet before it's always been Jap meets (Hubby into his Jap cars).

Be interested to know if there are any camp sites - it's a long way from Manchester!!!

it's a long way from Manchester!!!
Not really - We're about 60mins from Manchester airport and 45mins from Gaydon, so Manchester to Gaydon = less that 2 hours

Would be 90 mins from South Manchester/Manchester Airport area, with cruise set at 80. I passed the Motor Heritage Museum sign at exactly that time, travelling South the other week

Steve

There's people coming from Scotland for this!

I'm travelling from York and a few I think travelling from a bit higher up on the east.

Not far for you at all.. get yourself along... you know you want to!

That's it Phil - tough love! :D

4 hours (ish) from Devon for me and I won't be missing it. Early start though. :D
