SPEC steel single mass flywheel SV21F completelly redone-ring gear zeroed first, new surface for friction plate and step height from ring gear to resurfaced contact surface for friction plate set back again to factory SPEC of 12,09mm. Perfect Job done. Now that might be a problem because they make difference in selling SMF for SPEC and Sachs pressure plate. Most od them use 12,4 or 12,5mm step for Sachs. We Will first pressure test it and measure with comparator when it disengages-how many mm. Maybe we get lucky or maybe we will have to resurface again to get higher step.

Those shims from Luk installation manual were for 02J, but my isn't any more. My gearbox is now 02S so I went to Porsche desler and took all the thickness numbers. Replaced previous 0,8mm for 0,85mm for LSD, now left are input and output Shaft roller bearings shims

We succesfully measured with dial gauge required shims for the LSD, and input and output shaft roller bearings. Today we will assembly whole gearbox to check if everything is fine and  dismantle it again for housing new painting in same colour but with industrial paint which is more resistant and durable.IMG_20210427_191218_1.thumb.jpg.9200930d58565591d735d2f1d5ecb551.jpg

OEM LSD shims are 68mm outer diameter same as for the output shaft roller bearings but wider. We measured using dial gauge and reworked two new LSD ones 1,15 and 1,20mm and tried both, and went for thicker one 1,20mm. Great Job using some common sense without waiting monney.IMG_20210428_130334.thumb.jpg.c1b960db149925590e90319ec67e2289.jpg

Flywheel bolted in place with new  M10x25 1 pitch class 10,9 (couldn't found 12,9 and original ones from Febi that are 12.9 were to short-19mm only-less than 5mm protruding out from flywheel) so I went for the adequate lenght instead of 12,9 class. Had the same for decade without any problem. Sachs performance organic friction disc and pressure plate also in place
