New Croatian VRS 236hp 19inches

Those are flow rates on a test bench with no restriction, the standard water pump would probably exceed those at high engine revs.

Only 2.5 litres cooling system capacity, that sounds far too small but I havn't read the topic so maybe you have a small capacity radiator and no heater matrix.

Maybe 3 liter all together. Water cooler With endtanks is 60x10x10cm and Mercedes S55 WCAC core

Now it's time for fine tuning. First I wanted strongest and smallest water pump so I bought Davies Craig EBP25,market leader that flows 27l/min.

I was so happy, than I applied laws of physics and it says that it circles whole coolant amount (approximatelly 2.5 liter without expansion tank) in only 6 seconds!!!!

That mesna probbably it flows to fast, so I ordered new water pump from Bosch that flows 15l/min or 10s for full circle of coolant. Almost hundred percent more time for conduction to take place-direct contact heat dissapation.

Will get it in few days💪💪😉😉😉 so stay tuned

Thanks man. LI am lttle surprised not more people are Reading/commenting/likeing my thread. There are cars far less technically advanced and are read more for about 4000 reads. I am wondering what does these people look for. This is first MK4 platform world wide (as far as I know-if there is any You can coun't them on one hand maybe) with water cooling. It is not just put big turbo and get 390hp and that,'s it. Shallow People. I bet my car will kill it on the track with almost 100hp less power and much older chasis.  So, strange world. For sure I can coun't on you my friend🙂🙂🙂

Went for test ride again. Outside was 13-15 and by full throttle I wasn't above 40C (35-40) ...

I have impression system is working better and better even there should not be break in phase or similar. Still waiting for water temp sensor and to test weaker water pump.

Made same arrangements for custom cat bact v-banded 3" exhaust.

This is the tip I found very nice and suitsble for my sleeper look-similar to original metal series endtips of earlier RS4 and 6.

Just for perfect fine tuning. I already bought Bosch water pump 15l/min and New water cooler With tube fin core is ordered. Than when water temp sensor is installed we will test both pumps with both water cooler under heavy load.

Still had some vibrations with braking, despite the fact I had no collision or damage to the wheels or drivetrain. I took my 2 pieces 350x34mm discs to workshop http://www.ttm-strojna-obrada.hr/ and checked both. We removed 0,12mm from the right side, the one I suffered accident 6 years ago, and I thought left one must be perfect, but have removed 0,5mm on the left one which was curvy on naked eye even. Now there is absolutely no vibrations felt and still left to repeat braking on procedure according to Pagid racing.

Dude that's one impressive engine bay - is your original post updated with all current mods, or where could I find this? (there's over 30 pages and I just stubmled upon here).

I could drop by Rijeka to meet firsthand and compare with my 1.8T :D How is the reliability? I'm struggling with the "little princess" nature of the engine.

You're most welcome. Mine works perfect. Had two issues-misfire on cylinder 3. I bought used Okada plasma Projecta coils from NZ and that one burned out on highway-replaced them With old OEM ones, last revision-started throwing error again a week or two ago. Replaced Denso IK20TT (from 3.2019) for NGK IRIDIUM BKR7EIX-11 gaped from 1,1mm to 0,75 as bdger5 suggests. But it wasn't that. We couldn't unbolt sprk on cylinder 3...some small plastic bits from burned coil  were left. Now flawles-no error. I even ordered OEM R8 coil adapterd and looked around for R8 coil 06E 995 115 G-latest revission. Now i hawe only left to correct wheel hoops s on beggining-probably my rear dogbone mount is gone-has more than 10 years of abuse. So I ordered Superpro one from uk to pair it with front superpro one-best design on market compared to others which deform due to the poor design.

Ofcourse all new bolts are ready.

Let me know when you're comming. Right now preparing for the snow my CRVRD1-rear diff clutches upgrade from racing diff -moldbenum With 300% more clamp fotce and dual pump quick Spool kit to engage rear wheels much sooner and faster-so it can pass ramp test easilly. Never bored over here

That's the same annoying misfire issues I had, also cyl 3 and 4. After my remap to 210hp, two original coils failed, fitted new BERU ones, they physically broke after one (1!) day, fitted then the NGK R8 ones and misfire went away - you should have went with NGK immediately. Didn't sleep for a month with these sheeiat coil packs failing all the time.

I also have the exact same spark plugs Denso IK20TT, those are for LPG cars! Why did you go with them? I still have very very rarely a misfire under load - I suspect these sparkplugs. Will fit the NGK's you mention once I get the time.

Didn't catch the part - your octavia is 4x4??? From my 1.5 years of finding the right 1.8t, only one 4x4 popped up, it was perfect on the ad, in reality it was the worst 1.8t I've ever seen, so sad, I even had the money on me but it wasn't worth even 500€, car for parts/junkyard.

I will definetely visit one day, you're only an hour drive from Zagreb haha. I have to see first person under the hood, still weighing would I go to stage 2, squeeze out another 20-30 bhp, but seems too much hassle and €€€ for such a "small" bump in power.

Anyway, kudos to the mechanical part of the car, seems spot on, very much effort and €€€ dropped inside. For the looks, I won't comment since I'm sleeper-stock look oriented ;)

Due to the vibrations and rpm increase  while vibrating during throttle I remowed gearbox and clutch-time for new SPECSV363F STAGE 3+, flywheel resurface and gearbox overhaul while taken of. Clutch has more than 10y and gearbox has been last time serviced 2013 when changing also 1st and 2nd for custom ones as 3-6 already were. More detailed update to come, espetially how to resurface flywheel in proper way-meaning friction plate surface together with ring gear to pressure plate surface, and not only friction plate contact surface as my custom gearbox mechanic did than. Now I gattered exact proportions-height of both surfaces from factory so I can exactly replicate it.
