Due to the fact "custom" made wcac by Bell intercoolers USA had poor flow on flowmeter from Akrapović exhaust compared to stock AMG one, I took OEM SMIC to make endplates according to it for AMG core. I cut of AMG endplates and checked its position in place, decided where to route water inlet and outlet. Corrected sheme for installation regarding fill and expansion tank, and checked route for 19mm tubes. Changed position from inlet pipe on water cooler-not any more at driver side but on top of cooler on the same side-still to beimageproxy.php?img=&key=00da0a65627968c1imageproxy.php?img=&key=00da0a65627968c1 done. Accidentally we found all there Inconel bolts holding turbo were lose-one sticking up for 1 cm. We retighten them.

Yesterday we were on fire😂😀. I wonted them for so long. Bought used ones from New Zeland and look how it finished. BS Okada Plasma Project ignition coils. My tuner told me that they burn out. Didn't expect it that way. Can't start the car now-empty battery and have to put oem ones back

just read the entire thread from the beggining - what an afternoon read.

so good to see someone doing their own R&D, some of the bits on this car are amazing and a good inspiration to others (me included) to get things moving!

absolutely amazing build - must have some budget HAHA.

i have octavia mk1 1.8t 4x4, and looking to have (what i can find) the only UK based vr6T/r32T engined version. Bit of A back burner project as im doing some minors to the 1.8t before hand.

but will be using the colourMFA ( inspiration from this thread) so thanks for that !

on a side note....did you ever get anyone down to the flat bottom floor pan designer?

im based out of WATFORD, HERTFORDSHIRE UK...

regards

matt

Hi Matt it's always nice when others recognize your work  and effort and time and monney and passion put into it.

Glad You Like it

I envy You regarding 1.8T 4x4 - best possibble platform. I didn't know that when I bought my RS. Tought it's the best. But it's much heavier to convert RS to 4x4 (even my friend who did my gearbox Miško from Serbia did it to his Octavia) even more when You put R32T engine into it. Totaly cool.

This one I don't really understand

AMG WCAC without endtanks now, CNC milled to full flatness, and time for 3D drawings of endtanks to be the same as OE SMIC. Can't wait for it.

Here is some progress. Endtanks already made and still not welded. If You look carefully core is turned upward-just for checking symetry before final welding.

I used 330 mm from Quattro. Look at the older posts. All is there and link to it I think
