  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

What did you think of the Monte Carlo?

Today I washed and polished the Fabia.

I hope you've also painted your rears red to match

The Brembo's appear to fill the wheel nicely

Gave mine some stick driving to work to help clear the lumpy running whilst the DPF did a regen! Was fine after a 15 mile fast cruise along the M20.

Looks great. More tempted than ever :)

How did you find the swap, and sorting out the different fogs etc?

Sorry if a little OT, but did you see the chrome Audi Steve. I took those pictures as promised.

Steve,

It took a grand total of about 1hour todo the whole swap and a further 20mins with a cuppa admiring the work

The elegance fog lights have a different plug to the vrs fog lights but that was easily sorted with a pair of wire cutters and some solder, then heat shrinked afterwards. The headlight washers also needed cutting out which we did using an air compressor cutter, the only advice there is to cut the hole a little smaller than marked on the inside of the bumper as the washer covers aren't that much bigger than the markings.

Other than that is was very straight forward, you will be left with 2 screws after your done as the vrs bumper is missing a bracket on the inside that the elegance has.

Will be attempting to fit the rear on friday, not looking forward to cutting out all the parking sensor holes.

So Skoda pulled the same trick on the Octavia as they did with my Fabia then? What a pain :D

Looks really good though, nice work

Washed it and found yet another new scratch! :swear:

Washed both.

Taken it for an MOT and await the outcome

FAILED broken rear spring :'(
