Hi, that's smart.

What wheels are they? They look like Passat CC - 18".

Taken off scirroco. Sprayed to gun metal.

Thought it would be good to see some pics of Yetis at work, rather than play (as most pics here to date are).

I was at my local waste & recycling dump yesterday afternoon, in the near dark with the orange floodlights casting a superb light on my tangerine Yeti, boot still open having dropped of some bit and bobs.

I grabbed my phone and clicked off this;-

Probably makes him look more bronze than tangerine.

Here are a few pics of my rebuilt (badly) snow monster. We are currently up in the highlands and today went looking for snow, we set off towards Glen Lyon so as to traverse the Ben Laws road that emerges near Killin on the banks of Loch Tay, we found the snow in the form of a light flurry of small flakes. We decided to go over the top, I must say grip was not an issue going up, plenty of low revving torque but I have to say I did have a few sweaty palm moments on the decent, the hill decent control got a bit confused with the lack of grip and on two occasions the back end tried to pass the front! First gear all the way down and when things go a tab scary I ran one wheel on the grass verge that gave good grip, IF I go again I will buy some snow tyres!

Anyway, here is the festive Snow Globe Yeti.

And now the Yeti posing on a snowy slope

Back at the holiday cottage now with a nip of scotch to warm things up and steady the nerves!

Thanks for looking

Where are the two-tone Yetis? I'd really like to see what some different roof colours look like.

Good idea!

Having just got back from a very late night gig with the Yeti loaded to the gunwales I reckoned to take a pic for this thread following bahnstormer's suggestion.

It serves to underline to me just how flexible this car is, because all three rear seats get taken out to accommodate awkwardly shaped items, and to make sure that it's all secure with precious guitars able to rest safely on top. I dread a heavy amp rolling onto something and squashing it!!

I will post when I can see straight to process it!

There's the link to my "Yeti at Work" - just before I summoned up the residual strength to unload it all.

There's a bit of a gap at the top on the off-side - was there something else to go in? :giggle: And I'm sure you put a good net over that lot before you closed the door, didn't you?

If there is one thing that disappoints me about the yeti is the poor drainage of the rear bumper, beneath the tailgate.

Our car sits on a slightly sloping drive (facing uphill), and even so the bottom seam of the tailgate is nearly always sat in a small puddle of water.

I am going to smear some silicone grease onto the bottom to resist rusting, when I can fund the tub!!

Freshacres seems to be a mud trap...

As I've just taken a picture for the "Two Tone" thread I may as well post it on here too!
