  • I'm kinda glad that Skoda has the reputation it has. This means we all still get good solid German cars at affordable prices! As a brand I'm far more inclined to go Audi, but I'm not a fool, and my O

Very pleased with my 2009 Fl Vrs. No problems at all. I am happy with equipment and performance.

Its my first Skoda and I am very happy with it (30.000 km until now).

onto my third vRS now and still loving it.. best bang for your buck on the market

Yep very happy with both my 07 Octy 4x4 that we've had for 3yrs and the 01 Fabia that we've had for nearly 10 years and 120,000 mils. Both excellent cars IMHO.

Love Octavias - now on 7th !! ( do alot of miles).

Had both Mark 1 and 11's - took delivery of a VRS FL (TSI) in March and it's fantastic.

Both manual and DSG are great, and equally have liked both estate and hatch. Currently also have a Mark 1 Octy estate ( L+K) with 130 BHP diesel engine and it's surprisingly quick and economical too.

Had lots of other makes of car, but never found anything that has come close and ticks so many boxes.

Enjoy.

Had my vRS since March; first ever Skoda. Awesome. That is all.

Had my Scout for nearly 4 months and have done 5000 miles in 6 countries and i love it :)

I have my 09 vRS since March also after having various french cars as company cars for the last 12 years finally took the plunge to get my own car, got an Octy vRS 2.0 CR Diesel and LOVE it

104K miles on my '06 Elegance, its a company car, and just placed the order for my replacement - a nice new vRS estate. The only things I have had issues with were the initial geometry (sorted out) and the rear windscreen wiper is turning a bit slow now.

End of October can't come soon enough now.

Im very happy with mine. Have both Fabia and Octavia VRs - love em. Both very reliable. The Fabia had a relay fail - thats all in 5 years. In 2.5 years of Octavia ownership - Ive had a DPF pressure sensor fail and loss of coolant from aircon - thats all. Both are modded and driven with vigour - why else have a VRS model.

Im on my second Octavia Vrs having changed from Vw and ive been chuffed to bits with them. I think that any car forum you visit, you will see alot of people having problems wtih there cars.

Good to see so many positives. My natural habitat is an Audi, but I can't justify £7,000 extra for an A4 Avant with the same mechanicals as my vRS estate. Mine is nicely run in at 16,000 miles and going better than ever, touch wood. Only those in the know (as you are on here of course) would suspect that the diesel Skoda has better acceleration than my 'fun car', an old BMW Z3 2.2.

It's my first Skoda in 41 years of owning cars, and I don't think it wil be my last.

Edit - just seen that this is my 100th post on this forum. Nice to celebrate on a happy thread like this.

Best car i've owned  loved my Fabia vRS, but the Octy is a whole different ball game. When the time comes, i'll have another Octy without a doubt :D

After being on this site for about a week all I read is people having problems. Does not feel me with any confidence that I am going to be a happy driver/owner when my VRS arrives in October.

you think this forum is bad, i had a vectra before the vrs, you wanna go on the vectra forum..........you would never ever buy vauxhall again.........

I can vouch for that! Seems the Vectra owners get their jollies of by being so doom and gloom  HATED my vectra and wanted to blow it up after being on the forums (for a short time )

4 weeks into ownership of a new 1.8tsi l&k

super car, really, really like it. few more miles and i can go over 3k rpm

regrets? should have specced the blue tooth and i still think perhaps i should have gone DSG.

not far off audi quality and definately as good as a bmw - i've had both recently

not sure what the issue is with the bolero - mines good

Picked up my 1.6 Tdi CR on 07-07-2010 and now has passed 5000km.

Having a couple of issues, especially the tires ( Bridgestone, other have the same problem as the car pushes to the right)

I ´am really suprised with the quality and easy of use.

Friends with Audis, Renaults, Opels and só on, are amazed at the options it has, quality, space and the price being lower than Focus, Golf, Megane, Astra.

The radio Bolero is excellent and with bluetooth option it´s the cherry on top of the cake

Here in Portugal the Octavia break Elegance Pack comes with

Bluetooth, rear sensors, 16" rims, maxidot, steering wheel with controls, folding mirrors, middle armrest storage with AUX entrance, dual zone AC, cruise control, rain and light sensor and others.

Happy yes, here they also call Audi as being the Olympic Skoda, I wonder why.

I am a happy Skoda Octavia owner,I've got tow estelle's and a Fabia as well,my dad's got a Felicia so we're pretty much of a Skoda family.Won't ever consider driving anything else.If you see the JD power surveys you'll find that Skoda, last and this year came on top of everyone when it comes to reliability, customer satisfaction etc,etc .... .Best motor of the brand is the Octavia so the answer to your question is that YES,there are a lot of owners happy with their Octavia.

Absolutely fantastic car!!!

I love it!!

Really love mine to! Going to buy a new one when I have moved! (First brand new car)!

We are - I'm on my 3rd Octavia, while SWMBO is on her 3rd Fabia emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Looks like most people like them then

I've got an 06 plate VRS, only had it for 4 weeks but I love it. The engine is very flexible and it handles well. Build quality isn't as good as some VAG cars but you can't knock the value for money.

Compared to some other websites that I frequent, this isn't really an enthusiasts forum (don't tae it the wrong way). People often come to find out about problems (which is fair enough) and post negative remarks, many of the non petrolhead forums are the same. This can give you a negative view of a model or a marque and often doesn't represent the true customer thinking of the brand. Check out things like the JD power surveys and what car? reports, Skoda are rated higher than any other brand in the VAG group buy its customers

I love my Octavia. Comfortable, spacious, practical and fun to drive. Everything you would want.

Even though im having the problem just now, the Skoda dealer network are getting a more than satifactory thumbs up on their handling of the situation. Always on the phone letting you know whats happening and reassuring you its on the mend.

As said before, the forums give a bad perception as its only problems that get posted up on here really. If everyone that was enjoying the car posted up, we would be getting about 5 pages of new posts to read every day.

Just go get 1.

Agree with all of that and would add ecconomical. I love it. Skoda UK's options list frustrates me but the car itself is great. After 20 years driving volvos it was a big decision to go to Skoda but the vRS is perfect for my needs
