End of November on the dealer's advice for an early March delivery.

I spoke to my retailer today about ordering my new vRS for January cos of all the problems around supply...he told me that Skoda Ireland have a great supply with immediate delivery on most colours...im thinking about the flat red..any thoughts little bit weiry as ive never seen a flat red in the flesh

Today I rang Skoda UK for my weekly game of Skoda bingo - they give me random numbers that have no correlation with my actual build week ;)

To be completely fair to the guy I spoke to earlier in the week he told me ring back on Friday after 11.00 as the list for the 'confirmed builds' arrives on Thursday & is on their system shortly before midday Friday.

My car is a confirmed build for week 19 :o

Looking for a mid- June delivery

fingers crossed hang on in there we will save you from that French "thing" you have listed under your name!

I might be a tad late but you can add me to the ever growing list, if you like. Great work on this by the way, it's a handy guide. I envy the lead times on the petrols - too good to be true almost.

Order Date....Colour..........Body..........Transmisison....Fuel................Build

28/12/10......Race Blue......Hatch..........Manual..........Diesel........18 - Waiting to be shipped.

I'm keeping it all crossed for the B/Hol weekend.

Ha, cheeky ;)

The Crosser was a lease that simply came right price & time. Whilst I'm not a fan of them, it never let me down & I was very impressed by its versatility. The 4 wd was a bonus last winter.

Very much a 'marmite' car :giggle:

spoke to dealers and car is built at last after almost 8 month, waiting for it to be transported now, i have been advised by a friend who has had several octys that the cars are shipped to newcastle for north yorkshire, can anyone confirm this?

I will add mine to the list, not sure how to, so will list it like other have done on here and if it needs moving etc, then please feel free to do so :-)

Order Date Colour Body Transmission Fuel Build

30/3/2011 White VRS Hatch DSG Petrol No allocated date

Give Skoda customer services a call. I ordered a race blue Tsi with DSG with some options on the 24/4/2011 and my build date is week 21still to be confirmed though but they told me to call back next week. I was originally week 24 but so far so good

Ok, so my original delivery date was 21/06/2011 (ordered 03/03/2011) which got delayed to 21/07/2011 due to parts shortage and now today had an email off Lex (who i'm leasing it through) that it's further delayed until 12/08/2011. Decided to cancel my order now :( and order a 3 series touring instead, quoting lead times on order and then doubling them once the order is taken is not acceptable in my book, if I did that with my customers then quite simply I'd be out of work within weeks. Not Acceptable Skoda, sort it out else the reputation that you have spent the last 10 years or so building up will be crushed by the fact you can't deliver your products on time!

I think it's more likely the lease company quoted the wrong timescale as 3 months is around the correct timescale for a factory build. But at the moment there are people from November and December still waiting on their cars. I'm not saying Skoda are blameless but it sounds like someone got their dates wrong

theres still a few of us that orderd in september still waiting. its a total fiasco who gets cars and when. havnt a clue how their system regarding orders works.

Thats what I was saying as I think for them to quote 3 months from order to delivery was wrong. It sounds as though either the dealer or lease company got it wrong

yes i understand what you mean. at least in the beginning i was quoted 6 month so wasnt expecting a quick delivery. would have felt the same as nuts if i was quoted his delivery times.but with me, after waiting the 6 month i thought may as well just hang on.

after reading all those lucky people who have taken delivery of their cars, it will be worth the wait

Yeah I'm looking forward to getting my new one although in a strange way I will miss my current VRS. I just went for petrol again as I don't do enough miles to justify a diesel.

It was the Skoda UK who quoted original delivery date not LEX, I have the original literature quoting the delivery date. Their ordering system is a farse, to be honest I am absolutely gutted because the octavia I had on demo blew me away on looks, performance, build quality, everything. Such ashame that so many customers are being let down, it must be hard on the dealerships too as I expect they are taking the brunt of the backlash off customers, not only verbal but loss off business too.

Just another one to add to the list but mine has now got a current build week of 25.

the car was ordered on 30/12/2010. Absolutely gutted. even if it stays at week 25, with delivery added on its going to be late july.

not even going to get any of the summer out of it!

my dealer originally wrote on the order form, i would get it late may or a.s.a.p.

does anyone know what compensation packages are available as ive heard of a few from different people but unfortunately they probably dont come on here anymore cos theyre lucky enough to have recieved their car!!

also someone mentioned getting a courtesy car from the dealer or even free services etc ??

for the last few month ive been running my mothers old rover 25 into the ground with the head gasket about to blow at any point, in the hope that i would be getting my new vrs but everytime i ring skoda uk it just gets put back and back

does anyone have any experiences or ideas of what i could prise out of them?

i am due to collect vrs hopefully in the near future after an 8 month wait.on order form for march delivery.

told dealer if it doesnt arrive this month my own car will be out of test, tax so they did say they will sort us out a courtesy car.

i would also be interested if anyone knows if the compensation scheme is still running,

dealer hasnt been very helpful from day 1 so doubt he will be forthcoming about any compensation deal

Hi JHE - Have you taken delivery of your VRS yet ??

I have finally had confirmation that mine has been built and on it's way from Emden. Hopefully only another 1 - 2 weeks to wait.

Ordered way back on 4/10/10 so we're looking at around 8 months by the time it's finally collected.

ANYONE OUT THERE BEEN WAITING LONGER ????

nope! havnt heard a peep off the dealer since we rang to see if it was built, he said fingers crossed we should get it in a few weeks.that was 9th may we spoke to him, havnt a clue were it is now.

did you find out anything about any compensation we might be able claim?

good luck with your car, hopefully you will get it soon.

I ended up waiting 6 months for mine a CR , & popped back to the dealers last week with ref my compensation.

My local dealer is being up front with anyone who wants a vRS Diesel, they are telling people to expect 9 months for delivery ( a couple could have a baby by the time the car is delivered ).

I am very glad i waited for mine despite having the date changed 3 times,

Petrols are turned aound quicker, but remember if youre ordering a CR & you want DSG, it not just Skoda that are suffering, VW are as well, & I still think that the price for what youre getting is stonking value.

Anyone wondering what the compensation is, do a search on the site as there were at least 3 threads around this topic just before Xmas 2010.

Good Luck to all of you waiting, I really know how frustrating iy can be, specially if youre driving a car that you want to get rid of.
