maybe dealer had it in stock? those of us that waited up to 8 month was for diesel engines and factory orders.

Yes its at a dealers up North, but don't mind the drive.

Its a diesel, right colour Black and had most of the options I wanted added on.

When I ordered mine there was a few in stock but none with the options I wanted

My car (Silver VRs) was build week 19 and is now sat at the dealers, waiting for me to collect in on saturday.

My brothers (White VRs) is now build week 26, unconfirmed!!!!

God knows what they have done or are doing with my brothers order, but I cant imagine them running out of white paint, standard interiors and headlights, as they are the only differences.

Dealer and Skoda Customer Care, cant tell us why theres such a delay or when it will deffinately be here! My brother has given them to the end of the month to give him a confirmed build week, otherwise hes cancelling the order!

mine is pretty much the same mate. ordered mine on 30/12/10 and at the minute its got bw 28 unconfirmed.

Finally took delivery on Saturday 28th May - Just short of 8 months in total.

Initial impressions are very good although gently working the engine in at present !!!!!!

Ordered my vRS CR this morning and collecting on 17th June (next Friday)

As its a company car it hasnt got any goodies ie maxidot, parking sensors and the like but 8 days delivery is better than 8 months so i had to go for it.

Clearly the dealer in Oxford had one and now its got my name on it. Jobs a good'n

Just shows that there is no rhyme or reason for Skoda build orders does it, how you getting on with the TSI/DSG combination, cant wait for mine! :-)

I think my dealer had a car ordered for stock that they got changed for my spec. I'm enjoying the TSI/DSG combo its completely different from the TFSI Vrs that it replaced much nicer to drive

Got to be honest I cant wait for the DSG/TSI combination, compared to my manual PD 1.9 diesel in my Touran I am sure it will feel like heaven to drive :-)

Ok just had a phone call of the dealer in Darlington my order went in on the 22/03/2011 for a Octavia vrs manual,petrol, estate, raceblue, rear parking, auto mirror/wipers,home lighting, curtain airbags, leather,heated seats,maxidot,mdi,xenons,sunset glass,silver roof rails, spare wheel. next week is the build week and I should get it before the 26th of July hopefully.

finally its been confirmed!!

And I thought the fabia bunch had it hard.. well, some models do (mainly the DSG lot!) Not too long now!

Just had a call today to tell me our car is being built this week. Been on order since 27/01/2011. picking up first week in september hopefully. The cars is Race Blue VRS CR DSG Estate with leather, heated seats, nav, sunroof, xenons, auto lights, vairable floor, midi pack, tinted windows, silver roof rails, tow bar, front/rear parking sensors and just need to fit the bluetooth when arrives. Quites some wait but hope it is worth it.

Ordered new vRS End of May 2011 with Build date of mid August and Delivery to dealer mid September with October latest registration promised.

Dealer contacted me 1st week of July saying car made and being shipped to arrange delivery. I have agreed new August delivery.

Does anyone know as to why delivery/manufacture moved up so much as dealer would not comment on this. I make this an 11 week delivery.

The car is a 2.0 vRS TDI DSG in Silver, Heated seats, Xenon headlights, Parking Sensors f & r, Curtain Air bags, Auto Mirror rain assist, Sat nav, Leather Seats, Blue tooth & MDI.

Car being picked up 12th Aug.

Just picked up our vRS estate, manual petrol today, what a lovely car.We ordered the car in March the dealer we dealt with have been superb.

Snap, ordered a TDI vRS in April and had build week33. Found out at the end of June that it had been moved and confirmed for build week 28, and dealer says they are coming in after onoly 2-3 weeks following build.

Sounds like they may have sneaked a new build week in for RH drive cars to try and catch up. I guess the containers are filling up quicker too, so shorter shipping time.

Luckily delivery times are shorter here in Slovenia. I ordered mine (TSI vRS combi with some extra stuff) in middle of May and got it last week. First date which computer throw out to my dealer was actually end of June, then got postponed to end of August, but then changed again to 29/2011, so it finally came to my hands last Wednesday
