Just got back from North Wales - I was surpirseid not to see more Yetis there. Saw a pale blue metallic one crossing the cob in Porthmadog on Monday, a dark blue one coming off the A55 near Bangor on Tuesday, and another pale blue one near Aberglaslyn/Beddgelert on Thursday - that was it !!

About one or two each way on the journey there along the M6/M54/A5, but I still think they are rare compared to Qashquis/Freelanders and even now the 4WD mini countrymans seem to be getting quite common.

Hi Pete

I saw you on road from Bala to Corwen around 12 noontowing your yacht! P1 YET

Did`nt spot you till last minute so could not wave!

Now on holiday near Nefyn.

Cheers

I don't think that was us - we were on the Bala to Corwen road on Saturday at about 2.00 pm but were not towing a yacht ! Hope you are having a good holiday - the weather on Saturday when we were leaving was glorious -perhaps it is a bit damper now !

Pete

As I was leaving for work this afternoon, there was a nice shiny green Yeti parked just around the corner!

Got a wave and a big grin :D from an old fella and his lady driving a grey one on Rooley Avenue, near Odsal Top, Bradford today.

Well I saw 2 today!!

Both on the A49 either side of Craven Arms.

I see a red 59 plate 3 times a week on my way to work, but today did not see it instead spotted 4, 3 within 15min a 61 plate a 10 plate and a 59 plate, then on the way home coming out of the garage in Cranleigh a 11 plate.

my dealer must be selling well getting a bit common around here now :giggle: no flash and wave in my van again swmbo had the yeti :'(

Ooh another one in St Albans.

A black 60 plate elegance that I've seen parked outside the same house, near the Romans, a few times.

Anyone on here I wonder?

There's four or five that I see with some degree of frequency now as I travel around locally, but every so often a new one crops up. Followed a dark blue (with a greenish tinge), YB11 *** from All Saints Road, round the Bradford ring road, to Emm Lane before we headed in different directions on Emm Lane. I knew he'd spotted me in the mirror, and there were grins and waves as we went our different ways.

If it is a 1.2 I met the owner at Morrisons and exchanged cheery word-he and his wife have gone to one car on retirement, my guess was he wasn't an internet savvy chap...and on re-reading your post it wasn't an Elegance.

We ought to have a visiting card to give forum details to people perhaps?

Not sure it belongs to them. There was a baby sun shade on the nearside rear window so I'm guessing the owners have a young baby ??

That's a good idea. The MG Owners Club (admittedly a much more formal group) distribute membership application forms on postcards to all their members, and invite the members to write their own membership number in a box on the card, then tuck the application form under the windscreen wiper of any MG they spot not wearing an MGOC badge. There are prizes for the members who 'recruit' most new members via this method. Not suggesting anything as serious as that, but a card with the website address would be cool.

I am currently touring around the highlands, our Yeti is now filthy and not very white anymore, we have also spotted lots of other yeti, at least one a day, around Lochearn head, we saw one near Glen Coe, Killin, Aviemore, Glasgow and so on.

So that brings me to my question, on the Briskoda home page there is a "Spotted! was it you thread", so why doesn't anybody with a Yeti post there spottings in there? Not that it is an issue posting here, maybe this thread should be a sticky?

On the subject of cards I would say a window sticker would be good advertising.

Hope you are having as good a time as we did recently?

We went to all those places. Stunning even in less than perfect weather eh?

I suppose we should post Spotted items in the main section (I have a feeling the mods might make this their next move?) but I believe hardly any Yeti owners look there, preferring to stay in the relative comfort of the Yetu forums.

It keeps it easy to find stuff but maybe not strictly proper :giggle:

I had no idea the Yeti forum was under the watchful eye of the mods, as admin myself on my own forum (non skoda at all) it can be difficult to please all the people all of the time.

Scotland is stunning and the rain makes no difference. I will post in here for now and see what the mods decide.

I agree. I spotted about a dozen Octavias this morning while dropping someone at St Albans station, whoops....it was a taxi rank!

Having a great time and even managed to get the Yeti to some height today above Killin looking towards Tyndrum along the valley, all the things work well on the car like hill decent and the traction is really good too, we will have covered 1,000miles by the time we get home tomorrow, with the roof box on and have averaged 46 mpg, not bad for 2.0 TDi.

Here is a link to google maps to show where we were at point "B"

Here is a picture of the new two tone muck and white colour scheme ;)

Your GoogleMap link doesn't show where you were!

Nice scenery.

Thanks, Link now works.

Kinnell! Always wondered where it was.

With a sunroof and the Gobi interior? I think I know who that it is, don't think he is on here though.

Don't remember sunroof or not, but it had no engine size badging on its behind.

this thread'll be gone by 1st November - the warlocks and witches will have done their worst. Betcha!!
