A few snaps from today's speedway meeting (at Sheffield). I had an unexpected invitation onto the centre green, but didn't have my camera with me, so not the best pics!

Was at the Plains Rally in Dyfnant and Aberhirant over the weekend. Perfect weather for it!

I don't know if this counts as I didn't take the Photograph but this is a copy which I have on the lounge wall at home. The photograph is a MK 14 Spitfire piloted by the test pilot  Jeffrey Quill. I first discovered this photograph in a Picture Framing shop on Knaresborough Train Station and I've been after it for about 5 or 6 years but it was never for sale but finally I got my hands on it.

 

The news paper cutting is on the rear of the picture.

 

The Picture is also on the cover of one of his books
